Imagine being 17 years old and seeing the country you love crumble around you, loved ones being taken from you with no recourse. Now, as it crumbles, you have to fight for refuge in a completely unfamiliar country whose "native" language is not one you know. This was my family's battle, and one of the women leading the ship did everything in her power to ensure her family's safety.

The Price to Pay
After a long day of work, I was excited to come home to a glass of wine to finish "celebrating" my birthday. As I pulled into my garage, something by my front door caught the corner of my eye. I put my car in park, grabbed my laptop bag, and went to the front door. There was a small gift bag addressed to me but did not identify who had left it. I grabbed it, shifting my laptop bag to my other shoulder so I could grab my keys and head inside.

Bitcoin, a form of currency as wondrous as its creator. The creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, reinvented currency as we know it and then just disappeared into the night, never to be seen. It makes me wonder, what happened to Satoshi? Rumor has it, she is in the middle of the forest with the best security possible and as off grid as she possibly can be. And, that’s right, I said she. As a woman who has experienced working in male-dominated industries, I prefer to think that a woman broke barriers without needing the notoriety.

Anti-Valentine's Day Playlist Valentine's Day is a sore subject for a lot of people, both single and in relationships. However, love, or the lack of it, isn't just subjected to this holiday. While a commercialized holiday about love doesn't help the situation, there is often an underlying issue or heartbreak that many are unable to heal from.
