Day 0 Today is going well. Helped my dear friend get ready to move across the states! I feel more prepared to say goodbye now than I was two months ago. I always miss her. I pray she lives the most beautiful of adventures! Knowing she's also nervous, I feel it, I hug her and we know it'll be a wondrous year.
Where Love Grows
Where Love Grows. When I think of you I remember all the dreams I spoke aloud and early mornings I danced in the kitchen. I smile like I've never had a bad day, as if nothing was ever wrong. When the moon lights up my garden, the cool breeze comes in through the broken screen door. It's so crisp and I feel pure, breathing in the air. My cats come closer to me once I've sat down on an old chair. My three furry babies have their own chairs, one sleeps on my lap and the other two sitting and sleeping on their chairs. One fur baby the most needy of attention, lies in my lap. The other two are as far from each other as they can be. My happy place. All that was ever missing in here was more loved ones and an arm chair and a cup of tea.
Freeze. How tall is the sky? How wide is the universe? How close is your love...where does your heart lie? How far is your hatred? What does it take...to stop your falling? To quit your wishing? To be free? To promise that freedom and seal it with a kiss from tomorrow?.. What does it take to just be...
The best thing happened today! I can't believe it and yet it happened! I got home and I realized there's no cat food. With very little left in the gas tank, I drove to the store to get a good, healthy brand of cat food for my fur babies. I've been very busy these past several days, driving for hundreds of miles on four hours of sleep in the last couple days. My car is having his issues, he's hungry, I'm hungry, everybody's hungry! I'm in the car on the road to Safeway, my windows are down, the passenger window is stuck, the a.c. ain't working and I'm sweating like a dog. I go through the last light and pull into the driveway. Find a close enough parking spot. And I turn my car off. I sit there for possibly a good five minutes, counting. Quarters and a dollar. There were so many, I had to count thrice, to make sure I had enough for the cat food. I knew it would be at least $13.
