The snowfall melted into our skin with a golden shimmer. I threw a worried glance at the horde behind me. Everyone stared at their skin, captivated by the color. They flashed greedy grins and frenzied eyes as they rubbed the snowflakes between their fingers. They didn't notice that it was eating their flesh away, little by little.
