Bio
when I was 13 years old taking classes in Belize just over 1,000 miles away from my home town in Haiti. My father had informed me of devastating news that I was unprepared to hear – my mother had passed away from a stroke. This why I write.

What I learn About America
What is America American can be an undefined country, because America consists of Native American who are the true Americans, who left before the British Colonel arrived in their land. The colonel then traded with the Native American, in which the colonel found an opportunity to steal land and pushed the Native American in reservation using their power. Many other nations from the European joined the land finding freedom for religion such as the pilgrim, others look for the opportunity of a better life and food. However Americans were claimed to be white people only. Withe was the only color that was free, other nations who joined faced many life challenges of racial discrimination. African American at that time were slaves with no rights and no equality to white. Many people from the European side or other nations had changed their name in order to be called white American, others suffered and fought for freedom such as the African American, Mexican worker who went to strike, and also some Europeans as well. Many years After the end of Slavery, African American and others around the world were still unable to have equal right to white American. Americans think that others come to steal their job and take away their opportunity. However as years passed many people were encouraged to give their life for others such as Martin Luther king one of the leaders of the Monocot, Rosa pack one the member of the Monocot, those leaders gave their life for others during the right movement in the 1960’s. Another one of the main issues was women were not equal to men in which women also endure many hard times in life. However they also stand and fight for their freedom as well as the African American, Mexican and other nation that face discrimination. After so many fights and protests African American and others were able to vote and more likely to be equal. However racist people still exist but there are laws against them that prevent them from exercising their power. After such equality among all nations this land then represents the land of freedom, in which everybody comes to sing one song no matter what color and nation you are.

As The Time Pass Everything Become More Clear.
As I reflect on life and COVID-19 a lot of things start to make sense. Survival the fittest really do exist. At this point of my life and age I realize there was no need to be fighting for approval, money, tittle and a place in society. It's all an illusion. What really matters is how you take whatever you have and turn it into something usable. Take the life that was giving to you and create your own masterpiece of art and shape. Some people may start over, some people may continue a great path, some may just differentiate themselves from the life they were given. It all comes down to your choice in life as you get older. There are many important factors that may lead to the type of life you choices you make, such as your belief system, money, and how you view yourself and life.

The emulation that lead to exploration
The world is waiting for a change. The hunger right now for change is everywhere more like than we ever imagine in history. The change start when you decide you going to work hard, it does matter who you are, you can do it to help make this change possible today and forever. In addition, do not be afraid to ask for the help when you need it, because we often forget that we need each other because of our pride. After all we all are searching for the same satisfaction in life. It does not matter if you black, white yellow do not matter your color. We want to be heard, accept, have shelter, and meet our basics needs. We may see the way to fulfill these needs differently, but at the end we are looking for the same result.

Slavery And The Death Of George Floyd.
Slave is one of the words I do not use often, one of the words I use most of the time only in history class or history context. I woke up this morning and realize it is more than that. Let us start with women. In the article “Validation of the Profile of Female Sexual Function (PFSF) in Surgically and Naturally Menopausal Women” women lose the desire for sexual pleasure after undergoing menopause (Leonard Derogates, 2004). Sexual pleasure is important to men; therefore, women own the power not only by controlling our sexual desire, but we give birth. I recall when I was a child growing up, I often heard stories about women being abused physically, mentally, and emotionally, by their husband and yet remain in that relationship. I have not only heard I have witnessed it. I have witnessed women getting abused as a child, and most of the time settle for men that they did not want while they were still married to these men. I want us, women, you, me, and humanity to take a step back and examine men in our lives and use the death of George Floyd as a wake-up call. A wake-up call to take back your power back as a black man and use it in the right place. What I mean by that is instead of using it to abuse women because of your physical strength, use your power to bring freedom back to African American Community.

The change was fast.
COVID-19 has provided me with the opportunity to reflect in my life to see where I am now, why I am where I am. Quarantine helps me to think about what I can do now to put myself in a better position. I reflect on why I do things the way I did, what was working and what was not working. While I reflect, I look at one of the largest life events that has changed my life forever. One of the biggest life events was my mother's death when I was aged 13. Just after I woke up on a Monday morning in Belize City, I showered and did my everyday routine and got ready for school. I brushed my teeth, ironed my uniform, and then dressed while my brother took a shower as well.

Everyday Hero
Thank you to Charles River Recovery Center for COVID-19 patients for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to invest in me as your workers and making this job possible with easy material to learn and certificates. At the beginning of this job I did not realize that I can improve my communication and support others in the process without beating myself. Improvement is not about forcing and spending all my energy stressing about it, rather it is how I view myself as a worker. The change of becoming a better worker had to start with me and my thoughts. I realize I was not doing well because I was spending my time in the minor things instead of the major things. I also realize I could not change my circumstances and the season I was in; therefore, I need to change myself. I was thinking as long as I show up and do the work I will be just fine. When an assignment is given, I do not think about what was important in the process. I also did not think I had to be more authentic and more honest in my work ethic as well. I did not view my work ethic as a reflection of who I am and where I am in life. But COVID-19 and the help of Charles River Recovery Center have helped me recognize the importance of my work and other workers.
