The Countdown
For decades the Doomsday Clock stood as a beacon to humanity; a symbol of our proximity to The End. Years ticked by as the minutes danced forward and back. The Arms Race, Climate Change, and a Pandemic ticking out a rhythm. Mortal hands believed themselves insightful as they tugged the hands to and fro; but they did not know, could not see, that they were dancing her waltz; as she tugged us all closer to the end.

Serenade of the Void
Inky blackness surrounds me, beneath my feet the cobblestone street is slick with rain; as if the world is weeping with me. A flash of lightning overhead illuminates my face, reflected back at me in the shop window. For the breath of a moment, I see my dirt-caked face; marked with the trails of a dozen eyes crying. Salt laced drips that fall from my chin and gather with the swells that lap at my shoes. My lungs burn as if they are gripped by sun touched hands; aching to exhale…But unable to remember how.

Embers of the Past
As with many stories, this one ends around a roaring fire; flames kissing the stars as the past is razed to the ground. And it all began with discontent... A creature of wanderlust who dared to long for more than what their corner of the world had to offer. After reading so many adventures, a voice in the back of his mind wondered why he couldn't have an adventure too.

Adrift in the Chaos
It feels so easy to sit here and be all doom and gloom; to ramble on about the state of affairs in our world today... But that's not really what I want to talk about. I'm not interested in spending hours deep diving into every issue thats currently plaging us; whether as a community, a nation, or a world. I'm more interested in stretching out my hands and finally putting to words the deep echoing screams that reverberate in my soul.
