Abidextrous and colorful is what I am. As a private tour guide, I love telling stories about interesting events and people. I started writing before I even learned about the alphabet. When I found out about it was thrilled. Time saver...

My love affair with words
For as long as I can remember I have been a storyteller. I like words and they like me back. Speaking was my skill from a very young age and I shared the pride that my father felt when I reproduced the most intricate words like it was baby babble.

A butterfly effect
My upstairs neighbor was a peculiar man. He was very outgoing, loved walking around in his neighborhood, and was gone as many hours as working people but never the office hours. Besides, he was retired. He cheered for beautiful women and always waved and literally applauded when we passed by his 4th-floor window. I liked him up there in his window acting all enthusiastic. If he had a sticker it would say ‘keep at arm’s length at all times.' Because whenever we would pass each other on the stairs he would grab my face and plant a kiss on my mouth if he saw a chance. I was actually really good at dodging this old but strong man. I remember times I saw him in the streets when he would cheer and tell the person that I was walking with that I was the best. Almost like a commercial shouted across the street. It would be awkward if it wasn’t so weird that it was funny. Or he came up behind me and basically jumped me to plant hugs and kisses on me. I thought I knew what was behind his strange behavior towards me, it was a simple act of kindness between neighbors as far as I was concerned. He however never got over his gratitude.

How to lose a guy by cooking
This story is about my experiences with online dating. I found myself one day wondering how I could let the powers that be know that I was open to finding my soulmate. So I said it out loud, made a pact with my nephew that next time on New Years' eve we would need two cars and then I realized that I am a very shy person that doesn't even dare to smile at a cute guy. So how do I avoid the friend zone and admit that I'm interested in a person that I don't know yet? Scary stuff and I had to overcome a few issues that I knew were standing in the way of me having a go at a relationship. And since the world is ending and we can go nowhere, I figured that a dating app would come in handy.

The post covid normal will be like this!
I have favorite people. They spice up my life. And two of them are established in 1970, yes that is 50 years ago. So they pass a big milestone earthday in the most surreal of all years since. So enough reason to celebrate but no way to actually plan the celebrations that fit the occasion. As with most get-togethers, it is simply not happening any time soon.

Tips for travel to Amsterdam
Things that you want to know before you visit Amsterdam. I mean, you will figure it out when you are here too. So it doesn't matter that much, but it saves time. And since most people visit three days including the day you arrive, jetlag full force, so you are not as sharp as you are normally it makes total sense to me that knowing these practical things are nice.

Blue hair, I don't care
Actually, it started dawning on me recently. The reason I have blue hair I mean. I have rocked colors in my hair since the very first happy accident when I was adding a range of temporary natural colorings for a streetcarnival occasion many many years back. It turned my blond hair into purple and pink stained coils. The coils had nothing to do with the color but were a just a cool hairstyle. I looked like a doll with those thick coils that stayed in whatever I did.
