Why Do I Feel Excluded From the LGBTQIA+ Community
Ever since I was little, I knew I liked boys. Ever since I kissed the first girl, I knew I liked girls. Ever since I saw the first transgender, I knew I liked them too. Did it make me picky, unsure of my sexuality, weird? Many heterosexual people told me so. But it wasn't until I got more into social media when I saw people from previously only the LGBT community shaming me too. There was no QIA+ back then, but even though the B stood for Bisexuals, I did not feel like a part of that community.

Antidepressants Were My Friends
I was sitting in the waiting room with a teenage boy. He didn’t look at me, staring at his feet, tapping fingers on his skinny thighs. I don’t remember his face, but I can still picture the weird, black cartoon ACDC t-shirt he was wearing. He reminded me of my brother, a sad metalhead whom no one understood.

Thanks That We Can
This poem was written for the 17th of November 2019, celebration of 30 years from the Velvet Revolution, the most important day in Czech and Slovak history. Thanks to all participants in this uprising in 1989, including my mother. Without you, our country would still be occupied, unfree, unhappy. THANKS THAT WE CAN.

Lenong: Birds of the King
When I was little, my dad and I had nothing to talk about. To me, he was always the quiet weirdo sitting in his office dissecting weird beetles. Yeah, I later learned about the word "entomologist", but I thought he was out of his mind back then. He was never home, always travelling, and as a kid, I did not understand that. To me, he just wasn't there and didn't want to spend time with his family. I was angry for him for years to spend money on his hobby rather than provide us with food.
