This Senior Has Been Smoking Weed for Almost 50 Years
I will be the first to admit that I am very tightly wound. I describe myself as a Type A personality who really needs to chill. In my own defense, when you grow up in a household with an emotionally absent, OCD, hypochondriacal, critical narcissist for a mother, it would be pretty impossible to be laid back. Of course, I only discovered how dysfunctional my mother was when I left home to go to university in 1972. I thought everyone grew up in a similar environment.

Every Parent Needs To Know About Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)
When we adopted our sweet baby boy, E, at two days old, it was the happiest day of my life. It had taken 12 long, long, painful years of infertility treatments and adoption until we became parents. At this point, my husband and I were in our mid 40s. We were terrified at the prospect of becoming parents of a newborn at our age. But, we went for it! Our journey to this point was a saga, in itself, but that is not the story I am recounting here.

Kathleen DeCaneva: How Cannabis Saved My Life
Today's "Medical Cannabis Success Story" is brought to you by my new friend, fellow massage therapist, and cannabis activist, Kathleen Callahan DeCaneva. Kathleen and I met on Facebook over a year ago. Although we have never met IRL or even had an actual conversation, I "talk" to her every day on social media.

My Own Cannabis Success Story
I have been a cannabis connoisseur for over 45 years and counting. I have partaken of hashish in the UK, in Amsterdam, and in Morocco. I have grown cannabis in Wales which was extremely challenging. Not only is the climate not very hospitable, but we had to hide the plants from the Welsh farmers and protect it from marauding cows and rabbits who loved to snack on them.
