Flickering Colours
I wandered through the crowd of mindless people. I couldn’t hear anything except for the thoughts flooding my brain. The same thoughts as everyone else. The world was bleak and dull. Just as we like it. I think? I turned the corner and my school came into view. The building was the same shade of grey as it's always been. The classrooms exactly the same. The students, carbon copies of each other. I hear stories of students who were different. At least I used to until the people telling them disappeared.

Alone
The smell of smoke and fire reminded me where I was. Shaking my head to clear it of delusions of happiness, I looked around. It won’t do to reminisce on better times. I had to find food. I crawled out from underneath my makeshift shelter, that in reality was just a half-burned building. My hands flew to my neck to make sure the locket was still there. I sighed in relief when my hands brushed against the cool metal. The only thing that remained of my family was this heart-shaped locket. I still wasn’t entirely sure what was in it, I hadn’t opened it yet. I couldn’t bring myself to.

7 Days
I had just finished writing my new murder mystery novel 'Suffer, I Dare You', and I was going to go celebrate, when the phone rang. I picked up the phone and asked who it was. They replied with “you have 7 days”. I quickly put down the phone because everybody knows that they are hoaxes. I decided to go to sleep.
