How to start worldbuilding?
World building can be overwhelming in the beginning and it can be difficult to find a place to start. You are looking to create the image in your mind but you need to make sure it has some realistic qualities. By realistic, I mean that you can give them context even if it's outlandish.

The day before tomorrow
“I don’t love you.” It hurt my chest, trying to control the emotion in my voice. I can’t give in this time. Pushing my lips together to stop them from trembling, I didn’t say anything else and waited for him to turn around. Warren was slicing bell peppers on the chopping board in my kitchen. He’d just put the chicken in the frying pan and it had begun to sizzle quietly. He didn’t even look up.

Dating SUCKS!
I am a chaser. Since I was 15 (I’m 21 while writing this), I have been in 2 long term relationships with not much of a gap in between so my experience with dating is limited. Now single, I am trudging through the trenches of modern dating as a young, neurodivergent novice. In all honesty, it’s been awful but humorous and I have learnt a lot about myself, my standards and what I want as a person.

I hate writing but I am a writer
I hate writing. I am a writer. Laying in bed at night when a spark of inspiration hits me. It’s 1 am. I have been trying to write a chapter of my current project for the last 3 hours, but at this very moment an idea, character and plot is growing in my brain. I should write this down. I need to get up in 5 hours though. Now my mind is awake with this storyline that could be my next piece but I’ll probably never finish. At this rate, I won’t sleep anyway so I get up, put the lamp on a jot some points down in my notebook. You can tell this is not an out of the ordinary occurrence by the notebook within arms reach of the bed.

Between the bookshelves
I couldn't concentrate on my books. It was cold in the library and I could tell the beautiful woman in front of me wasn't wearing a bra, because her thin cotton dress fitted perfectly to her skin. Glancing up, I analysed the curve of her bust and how her waist emphasised them. She was leaning on her forearms reading a literature textbook. It was past 10 pm. We were the only students as far as I can see on this floor. I got lost admiring her figure before I heard a whisper, "I can feel your eyes on me." She didn't even look up at me.

10 Things I've Learnt Writing My First Manuscript
1. I'm definitely a planner. I finished my first manuscript finally when I was 18, but I'd been writing for many years trying to finish one. Halfway through, I'd always convince myself that I could continue with just half a plot and no definite ending.

For the Love of Death
The woman ran her fingertips down his neck, she could see him visually shiver from her hiding spot at the window. The woman with long auburn, noticed too. She heard her giggle quietly. He blushed. His own fingers travelled down her back, releasing her body from her tight dress. He leaned towards her ear, “You’re so beautiful.”

Morning Coffee
I imagined the gentle brush hairs were my fingers as they followed down the outline of her back and legs. I could never do a painting of her justice. The colours were never right and her hair never sat correctly. In reality, she could roll out of bed, completely naked, and still look stunning with strands knotted into a mess.
