The Hotel Incident
You disreputable assmongle! How on earth can one dog get so FILTHY? I finally managed to get 4 year old Seughie to focus for a few seconds to get him out of the Harbor at Talbert, Scotland. He was head to toe covered in fetid, black, sticky, decomposing sea filth, and surface oil. I had driven to this spot to give Seughie a "hoof." My term for taking him out and trying to exhaust him several times a day. We had been on the road for most of the day and he had more energy than usual. Now I needed to find some form of clean water source to get him somewhat respectable before we go back to the hotel... which had white everything. Sheets, carpet, towels, everything!

Appassionato
Katherine 1687 AD Gasping for breath, I pause just inside the kirk. As my vision adjusts to the dark, medieval lighting, my senses are assaulted by the scent of burning candles, drying herbs, and moldering stones. Quickly, I scan the interior and find the nave deserted. Collecting my thoughts, skirts, and composer, I calmly walk to a pew and sit, assuming a look of abject devotion.

For The Love Of Wine
"This I would pair a roasted haunch of venison covered in juniper berries, shallots, rosemary, and a bit of salt," I stated as I drank the Estate Syrah I had just been poured. The sommelier, by now completely familiar with my culinary musings when tasting their wines, invited me to tell her what I would accompany the meat with. As we sat, teasing our taste buds with the imaginary feast, a dashing man came in and sat down next to me and ordered a full tasting. I waited as his first glass was poured before musing further about the menu. "Jen, I think that this wine has such complexity that I would want to pair it with some roasted winter veg like parsnips, carrots, fennel bulb, and carrots and seasoned with a little pink Himalayan salt and herbs. Of course, there would need to be a hearty potato of some sort, but I am thinking something simple so as not to distract from the wine... perhaps some roasted potatoes with a hint of garlic and salt?"

Diane's Purchase
Tears of joy and sorrow: In Memorium Diane/Lola The day was beautiful.. cool, clear blue skies.. and Diane. She came to the corral door and stuck her head in the halter... stole a mouthful of hay from the hay wagon, loaded into the trailer after balking a tad.. and off we went to her 3 PM appointment to join her friends Diosa and BB. What a beautiful soul we had to say goodbye to today. Cancer SUCKS.. .she had to leave us WAY too soon at just 20 years of age. Her pain was too much to ask her to continue.

Aging As Defined In The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
How do I determine what I watch for movie entertainment? I’m a “Boomer.” I look for movies that depict the issues affecting my generation that are poignant with humour. I love a good romance but it needs to have something I can identify with. I also look for entertainment that doesn’t degrade anyone purposefully as in modern TV comedy shows. If you want to find entertaining, uplifting, & educational movies, then you might want to try these 2 movies.

Me Trust? Neigh!
He was the ugliest male I had ever seen in my life. He had a bloody wound on his nose, hair six inches long on his chest, and he weighed about 700-800 pounds (about 400 pounds shy of his best weight). His name is Hawkeye and he has been my partner for 14+ years now. Hawkeye (or Beastie as he is sometimes called) is a mustang horse and he has taught me what it is to trust.
