I Take Trips Too!
In the last few years, a new class of traveler has emerged. Travel groups initiated on social media and fueled by the individual desire to get away, have become increasingly popular. This past week, I had the incredible opportunity to join such a group that traveled for five days to sunny picturesque Punta Cana.

Et Tu Nosferatu?
You don’t know what it’s like…wondering if you’ve been bitten. I often check my body for marks while showering. What other explanation could there be for my chronic lack of sleep other than vampirism? After trying chamomile teas, sleeping pills, melatonin, evening cocktails and the like, I’m still up for hours every evening. Sleep is elusive even when I’m exhausted.

Beloved Toni
Fierce, intelligent, determined queens - Women’s History Month is a meaningful celebration to highlight these pivotal figures. It always excites me. I’ve always been surrounded by women who inspire and motivate me. However, the recent loss of a American writer, Nobel Laureate and overall badass Black woman has left me yearning. Chloe Anthony Wofford Morrison, also known as Toni Morrison, joined the ancestors on August 5th in 2019. Her loss has left a gulf in the writing world, in the intellectual thinking spaces and the African American community as a whole.
