L R Croft
The most boring nomad you will ever meet. The most exciting nomad you will ever meet. I am neither. I am both.
Lyric's Lessons in Magic And Mayhem Part 4
If you know something truly terrible is about to happen, do you tell someone? Do you try to prevent it? If so, who do you tell? How do you stop it. The correct answer to this is no, and no one. I know that sounds awful, but I can explain.
Lyric's Lessons in Magic And Mayhem Part 3
*You aren't even joking, are you? You mean all of this?* I mean every word. I don't have time to sit around making up stories. Besides, you know what you saw, even if it didn't make sense. When you contacted me, and sent me that video, I freaked out. I was not okay at all. For one thing, I try very hard to make my interventions untraceable. I don't want these things knowing who I am, or where to find me. For another thing, the fact that you made it out of there with that evidence shocked me. *Who are you?* My name is Lyric. *That's fun. I like it.* My mother thought it would be cute to name me this, because she loves music. I hate it. I do love her, but she's a bit of a flake. Mom has this idea of a utopia where everyone can be happy. I ask her every time if she ever watches the news or picks up a paper. We will never all be happy. There is too much war, too much hate. It’s ugly out there. This old house is the only safe haven.
