Watch Me Make A Tree From Wire
I love making trees out of wire. And when it comes to creating trees out of wire, you can use almost anything. A lot of the wire I use actually came from a big remodel project we did on a house we owned. We ripped out all the old electrical wires and I kept a big bucket full of all the strange and interesting different gauges of wires they used to put in old homes. But really, you can start with whatever you have on hand. Here's a few examples.

Creepy Crawlies: A Mother's Love
We seem to have an obsession with the strange, the ugly, or the creepy. I'm sure there are thousands of psychiatrists who have explained why. I remember reading a book in college that examined the contrast of beauty and ugliness in art. Why do we pick up a horror story, or watch a scary movie? Human beings often have this desire to be scared. We jump on scary roller coasters every summer or run through haunted houses every fall. Some of us do extreme winter sports and often wonder if going down that double diamond slope was a bad idea.

My Mom Wasn't A Writer
My mother wasn't a writer, but that didn't stop her from seeing the potential in me. I was a late reader. For most of my early life I hated reading, and only did it when I was forced to (usually by my mom.) When I was about ten or eleven, she got me a gift. An adventure novel about a kid who lived out in the woods on a mountain, all by himself. I loved adventures of my own. I loved being outside, and often played games about living in the wild, all by myself. So needless to say, My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George was a great thing to give me for my first book, and I loved it.

Lucky-winners Luncheon: Leprechaun Logistics Episode 1
I slumped down onto my trashy old couch. It was time I pretended to pay some bills. I had a system. I checked my balance, subtracted food and rent, then the rest went to whichever past due bill seemed most urgent.

Leprechaun Logistics and the Unlucky Winners
It's amazing how fast you stop fighting against the inevitable. Less than 48 hours after becoming a prisoner in the Leprechaun Logistics lab facility, I was going about life as normal. The fact was, I was trapped and I knew it. I was trapped physically, I was trapped legally.
