Brick Road Pizza
East Town, Grand Rapids is a 70-square block area of downtown, complete with restaurants, cafes, and shops, with its own aesthetic and charm. It is a diverse mecca where all people can come together and enjoy some ridiculously yummy food: Brick Road Pizza. With their rustic atmosphere and unique cuisine, it is a restaurant that fits that lifestyle to a T. It's a hidden gem located right in the heart of East Town. The service is remarkable and the food is definitely worth an extended wait period during their busy times! Brick Road Pizza has one of the most diverse menus in Grand Rapids, including vegan, gluten free, and vegetarian options. The menu, full local ingredients, prepared fresh for every dish, is sure to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

Stella's Lounge
Downtown Grand Rapids nightlife is hopping with bars, breweries, concert halls, and restaurants to satisfy any need a person could have during a night on the town! It is quickly becoming the big city that Grand Rapids needs! Though there are many awesome places Downtown that are amazing, there are a few places that stand out as being some of the best. Stella's Lounge is not only a bar for the late night, but is an amazing restaurant as well. Open later in the day it, serves as a place to eat a delicious dinner before going to your next stop on the itinerary for the night—or a place to stay and hangout with good food and drinks if you want to stick around for the night! With a waiting area lined with old arcade games, the wait time for one of the ever popular tables in the old-school Gothic Punk styled restaurant is so much more enjoyable!

Hell's Kitchen at Caesar's Palace
The saying goes: "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen." The soft opening of Hell's Kitchen at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, NV showed those of us lucky enough to dine with them that the chefs competing for top placement at this establishment could really handle a lot of Hell's heat! The entire the staff hired as well made it seem like an effortless feat to serve up an exemplary fine dining experience as well as amazing food.

Hungarian Cuisine
If you do not know much about Hungarian cuisine, then you've got a lot to learn—and a lot to try! Hungarians pride themselves on their great traditions, from street foods to eat on the go to family feasts, meant to be savored in good company. Hungarian food is usually quite hearty and filling, and they will always make sure that family, friends, and guests are fed well. If you are ever traveling to Hungary, know you will always be satisfied by the delicious dishes they make up as their traditional foods! Paprika is a big factor in many authentic Hungarian recipes. Hungarians love their paprika; it is one of the things they are most known for! The spice, along with the peppers that the spice is grown from, is sold in many stores and market places. Paprika is the perfect spice that can be leaning toward mild (or sweet as they call it there) or all the way to the other side of the spectrum; spicy. Come with me on a culinary journey of the favorite dishes and foods traditional to Hungary. The dishes that I will be sharing with you are the dishes that are loved by many Hungarians and my family alike; and, of course, are many of my favorites too! These dishes are the ones you absolutely have to try!

Unpaid Internships
At the risk of looking like an "asshole, lazy millennial," I want to discuss unpaid internships and their benefits to our society or lack thereof. In the past, internships of any kind were the golden gate for experience in the workplace. The benefits of having an internship meant that one would have the necessary skills to help later in a job—usually with the same company! When unpaid internships were amazing was when people did not need quite as much to live comfortably. These internships usually lead immediately to a job with that company or at the very least gave enough experience that a job was found fairly quickly afterwards. The benefits from these have dwindled in my opinion, sure the experience is great, but at what price?

The Beauty of Budapest
Traveling the world and seeing different cultures is always an amazing experience. In Eastern Europe there are a great many wonderful countries to visit and sites to see. One of the most amazing countries that I have experienced is Hungary. Hungary is an amazing country that has one of the oldest languages and is one of the only European countries to have its own language that is not similar or in common with any other country in the world. I have a special love for Hungary and Budapest in itself, as my ancestors are from there, but that is not the only reason I find it a beautiful place to visit. Hungary is host to one of Europe's longest and most beautiful rivers called "Big Blue" by Europeans: the Danube River. The Danube is used for many things in the lives of Hungarians. On either side of the Danube river lies the capital of Hungary: Budapest. Each side a completely different lifestyle is at play. One is all about the peaceful calm of the countryside and the other is full of the hustle and bustle city life!
