Cookies in Colorado
I have been baking for as long as I can remember. In fourth grade I won a pie baking contest with a homemade crust and a recipe I adapted on m own. My kitchen is my happy place. Taking ingredients and turning them into something that others will enjoy brings me pleasure!

Solo in Ireland
I read Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley close to twenty years ago. The story starts where Gone With the Wind ends. Scarlett and Rhett appear to be over for good. Tara is no longer the safe haven of her childhood, but rather a place full of memories and heartache. Scarlett is alone, no longer wealthy, and in need of healing and a fresh start. She decides to go to Ireland where her roots are. She wants to make peace with her past.

Finding My Way Home
"I know we haven't talked in five years and things didn't end well, but I really need to ask you something." Is that really where it all started? No, that is where it restarted. There was no "how are you" or "I've missed you." There was just pure need to have answers and only one place where I knew the answers would be honest and right. The questions aren't important. They are just a byproduct of self-doubt and insecurity, those ugly emotions that rear their heads from time to time when we let other voices fill our mind.
