Summer Strawberries š
There is something particularly wonderful about strawberries. Iāve never had a summer that doesnāt involve these sweet little fruits. They arenāt the same when you buy them in January. They always seem so sad, sitting half stale in their little plastic boxes. They never last either, looking sadder and sadder at the back of the fridge until theyāre finally tossed. Like most fruits and vegetables, they are better right off the plant, out in the sunshine. Preferably picked barefoot with a drink in your hand.

Washing Away
She knew this would be the last time sheād ever be allowed back here. The āfor saleā sign had been taken down, the paper work was being signed somewhere by the lawyers. This was it. It was official. So many memories in this cabin, an entire childhood really. Now, even though this place was staying in the family, she knew the doors would never be opened up again to the family at large.
