CHAPTER ONE KNIGHT and DRAGON There weren't always Dragons in the Valley because King Ivan's soldiers kept them away for the villager's safety. Only one chicky Dragon called 'Hotsy' was an exception, he regularly wandered around the valley and the castle in the darkness of the night, blowing red hot air in the sky to show off to Princess Enya of the Ghost Castle. Being invisible, he could watch her while walking and standing behind the castle walls. She was an angel with her long brown hair blowing in the breezing air, dark eyes and long white dress he could die for her anytime. Villagers did not know that Hotsy was born in Ghost Castle time nobody inhabited there, giving him the power of being invisible by the sorcerer of the Kona valley called Kuna the Witch.

VOYAGE TO DEATH
ANDY Sept1911 It is a miserable day in London. Misty, drizzling rain and a chilly day I am feeling depressed ended up at Tate gallery in London. I am an art student at the London Art College studying Turner as my special subject. It is my last year's project. As soon as I walked in the warmth of the gallery made me relax and enjoy the atmosphere in Turner's room where all his paintings were displayed. I sat on a bench and start staring at the famous painting he did in 1810 called SHIPWRECK of MINOTAUR. He had painted a few other sea pictures but this one was my favourite to understand his thinking and expression of feelings. I am afraid of water. Irrational fear of water, called aquaphobia happened after a fishing trip disaster. It fascinates me to see in his picture how the human's effort to overcome forces of nature in his colours. My interpretation is ship is fighting for survival. Suddenly I heard this lovely voice " I can see you are really concentrated and trying to find out what the picture is trying to tell you to spend at least half an hour staring at it, my view is this kind of ship picture showing a struggling vessel in the sea puts you off the travel at sea," She was smiling. I turned around she was sitting next to me and I looked at her beautiful face and lost words to express my opinion seeing her dark sea-blue eyes could confuse any man." The important thing is how to interpret the picture when you look at it. To me, Turner had an idea in his mind when imagined that picture. It is like a volcano erupting from inside showing the extreme weather at sea a ship is in the centre of it overpowered by water and wind but still there. The question is, did he have any experience of sea disaster? Entirely different from his countryside pictures calm and providing a peaceful scenery to people, also each individual's eyes understanding of it will be really different," I said. She had a lovely smile on her face "My name is Mary by the way and just came into the gallery to get a warmth horrible day outside weather worst than Turner's paint," I guess. " My name is Andy, just last year's student at art college and this is my assignment to write about Turner," I smiled " if it's okay we could have a nice hot cup of tea at the cafeteria," I asked. " Let's go and have it I suppose we both needed," We walked away.

FREEDOM OF WHAT? PRESENT WAR!
The title of my essay " FREEDOM OF WHAT ? WAR!" is a reflection of our recent life experience. The question always is 'Are we really free ?' and the answer is 'In limitation Yes!'. Freedom can be described for certain circumstances as what we are allowed to say or do. It is within the limit of Democracy and Liberty were given to us by laws.

FREEDOM, JUSTICE and DREAMS
PAST CHASING FREEDOM It is a privilege to write this article for I HAVE A DREAM Association during the NEGRO HISTORY WEEK created by the Carter G.Woodson in the second week of February 1926 to ensure that schoolchildren would be exposed to BLACK HISTORY. The date was on purpose assigned the birthday of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery for African-Americans by including amendment fourteen in the American Constitution 1865. It granted equal civil and legal rights to black society in addition to citizenship to people born and naturalised in the USA including the slaves. He was assassinated in 1865 and the 14th amendment became law by the senate in 1868. Frederick Douglass was also a leader for the African-Americans who supported Women Rights, especially in the New York region. Freedom brought by the amendments of the constitution to the black society was a change order on paper but not in real life. Society still had discriminations, segregations and injustice. Their work was followed by Carter.G.Woodson who had been an example to the black people to follow. He was named as 'Father of the Black History'. Education was important for him. Being the second African-American who earned the doctorate from Harvard he tried his best to reform society by introducing the importance of education to the young generation of African-Americans. to learn the history of their past. But changes in society was very slow. Martin Luther King Jnr., painted that picture in his " I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH "in 1963. He was shot dead in 1968. He wished one-day equalities among the people of different races could live together in a peaceful country. In time his speech made a progress in society and became a historical record.

SNOWY and SPOTTY
It was an early spring morning with thick fog in WildOak Farm. WildOak Farm is placed in the middle of woodland with wildflower meadows. It is named after a few centuries old Oaktree. It has very deep roots like a veins network visible on the surface of the ground with a very large girth, having a height of more than 15 metres and many thick branches it is the pride and ancestor of our farm. We have a remote woodland farm with a few cattle, sheep, chickens and other usual pets that use the wood and grasslands around the farm. It also attracts and provides a home to badgers, barn owls, bats, birds and woodpeckers of wildlife with its water stream around the farmyard. It is a lovely place for Birders. Springtime, farmland covered with the bluebells, daffodils and a wide range of wildflowers with beautiful dark green grassland while the livestock lazily sleeps and grazes around pen houses. But running a farm is a very difficult and harsh one must be weatherproof against the frozen soil, rain, snow and crazy winds in winters. Each season brings its own benefits and difficulties one has to learn to live with them.

SLEEPLESS AT WARD 20
Sleeping Little Angel is the simple picture of us in our dreams. Our brain put the body a rest while repairing and upgrading the other functions of our human organs. Medically it is the time we do not remember anything at the first phase of it then the second stage everything fetched from the old memory is revised and dreams are created related to those events. We always take normal things in life for granted e.g. eating, walking, talking and sleeping until things go wrong. We suddenly realise life gifts to our body should not be taken for granted. When a night of good sleep happens mind and body together work to relax, refresh, meditate and rest. If sleep deprivation occurs may cause major health problems. A severe case is called Insomnia. One can not sleep properly stays awake. The solution relies not upon improving the hormone balance in our body by chemical adjustments also on physically improving the bed, mattress, room design environment etc., Under normal circumstances, the night is a period of the day we sleep and give chance to the brain to process daily information, relax nerves, muscles are sort of paralysed and we are in darkness till we ideally wake up 7/8 hours later. I am one of the lucky ones not to have a sleep problem. My problem with sleeping occurred when I spent a period of time in hospital to recover from an operation of the oesophagus.

I AM AN ALIEN IN MANCHESTER
I had to ask myself a question of being 'REAL ME'. What is it? Everybody's conception of it is all different. In my case answer is not in the future or living at the present, only thinking of the past may have an answer to the question. I can only find 'the real me' in my past memories of several decades and there are many of them. Of course, finding yourself will always be controlled by society and the rules we live in. Since we were born parents automatically brainwash the children as they were when they had been brought up by their parents. In that sequence like building a house, first bricks are cemented by parents and the rest built up in due course by family. relatives, ourselves and the society we live in. Question of What makes us Real People or What are we today ? remains a mystery for many of us. We never think about it anyway. It may vary for every different occasion. One of my "Real Me" stories started when I first visited New York. I had really excited to see the USA and the famous city. On the passport control I faced the question " Let's see your passport, ALIEN ! welcome to Newyork," said the officer. It sounded very strange as my knowledge of English at the time meant somebody from space, thought he was joking with me he wasn't. This was the phrase used by this nation not only for immigrants but also for tourists. At the time I was a legal immigrant living in Manchester, England. With that, I decided to call myself " I AM AN ALIEN IN MANCHESTER," described my status better than foreigners. This is a story about finding yourself for that reason I shall choose the one related to Christmas and the Festive seasonal experience.
