My Fair Lady, Shatter These Glass Walls
Castle Walls A stone is lightweight when it stands on its own, but when stones are built upon one another they weigh heavy on the land underneath them. Cold wet stones, inclined towards the edges of heaven, feel weightless when they’re seated on the top, staring into God’s eyes. They have no fear, even though they have so far to fall. A stone is just a piece of rock. It never meant to sit at the top of the spiral tower, but the view, oh the view, perched high on this mountain. It’s beautiful. How someone could have ever discovered this little retreat and then decide to build walls around it, no stone could understand, but they don’t care much. They get the best view when they lay in the walls of a castle.

Still Waiting For My Hogwarts Acceptance Letter
On the very edge of our seats, we wait to be saved from the parts of our lives that we have deemed void of vitality. Going to a midnight premiere is like wearing a giant badge that says “Warning Fan-girl.” Everyone remembers their first premiere when it’s something they love. At my first, teenage girls huddled and giggled to each other. The smell of buttery popcorn wafted around the theatre, and the tacky all-too-stereotypical dark carpet with strange 80’s patterns was due for an intense cleaning. I tried to put aside many expectations. I had worried for months that they wouldn’t get the movie right, that nothing could be better than the book.

Mariya Vasilievna Oktyabrskaya - "The Fighting Girlfriend" How would you avenge the death of your husband who was killed in action while fighting the Nazis in World War Two? Sell all of your possessions, buy a T-34 Tank, donate it to the war effort, and request that you drive it of course. This is exactly what Mariya Oktyabrskaya did once she learned of her husband's untimely death, two years after it happened. Once Mariya sold all of her possessions she still didn't have enough to buy a tank, so she took up embroidery to make up the last bit of change she needed for two months, totaling ₽50,000 rubles (Over $100,000 USD in today's money.) After collecting this money she sent a telegram to the Kremlin, addressed to Joseph Stalin himself. Of which Joseph Stalin actually replied to her: "Thank you Maria Vasilievna, for your concern for the armored forces of the Red Army. Your wish will be granted, please accept my greetings. Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Joseph Stalin."
