Snug in a Snag
Once upon a moon, there was a giant wolf bat living inside a snag. When a tree dies it becomes hollow and is from then called a snag. It’s a cozy place for a bat to hide during the rain. Oscar is a large bat, much larger than anyone else in his family. Oscar wiggles his closed eyes when it becomes dark outside and opens them. He jumps down on the floor, stretches, and yawns, washes his face in a sink with a mirror, and winks at himself, then smiles to show his sharp teeth and brushes them.

The Psychiatrist
Handcuffed to a chair sits a twelve-year-old boy. Dr. Scarborough sits back down in his office chair and dials the intercom to Angie’s office. “Yes, I knew about Dr. Whitney arriving this week, but I’m interviewing a new patient right now, so if you just want to show him the rounds that I normally do, that would be extremely helpful. What are you doing tonight?”

Buzz the Bee
Buzz the Bee sleeps on a leaf and awakes from a close call of a fast bat, telling him about a party. He opens his tired eyes and stands up to stretch himself so he can admire the beautiful endless fields. Lavender fields buzzing like thousands of men in a concert. Jumping up and down on a leaf until he can gain enough strength to bring up his little wings with enough speed for his large body and small wings to fly onward.
