My kitchen was ruined. How my daughter can make such a mess every time she bakes astounds me. nevertheless the flour in her hazelnut colored hair and 10 year old toothy grin is worth the clean up and the sweets every time.

My Egyptian Savior
I had not slept for 48 hours. I was physically sick, mentally drained, and about to collapse. Yet the dish I tried in the midst of my downfall was the most sensational, carb-licious food I have ever tried. I no longer had any notion of my previous discomforts, for the flavor and zing of this dish took all the pain away. Mind you, I am the type of person that needs their 8 hours of sleep, 10,000 steps, and a gallon of water a day. My body is my temple, however since I had been up for 48 hours trying to get to Egypt, I think that makes my body my pyramid.

Lock Tight
There are many days when I am extremely satisfied to spring out of my bed, throw on my overalls and pull in my crabs from the traps for the market, but the putrid smell of the marsh today has me rethinking my whole career. Well, I didn’t become a crabber by choice anyways, but I can dream of the days where I wanted to be a marine biologist and rehabilitate sea creatures affected by the heinous pollution that has consumed the world. The smell of the marsh snaps me out of my dreams and back to my routine. I finish pulling on my boots, grab my favorite sturdy gloves to protect me from the snippy crab claws, and head out my door into a new dawn.
