Write from the light
Your Life Matters
I don't know which book f*cked me up more
The Rainbow Fish
The Giving Tree....
For those of you who need a refresher in these staples of a childhood library:

I have not always been a kind person
You know that better than anybody
Before I learned to weave healing words into pretty poems
Though you wouldn't know it from my Pinterest page,
I am not actually engaged.
But if I married you today,
This is what my vows would say:
You made me a junkie
Addicted to a dopamine, serotonin, adrenaline, roller-coaster thrill
Your inconsistencies left me wanting more
This one really stuck with me, so I want to take an extra second here to talk to the younger ones. And honestly, the grown-ups too, huddle in here.
I spend the other 364 days of the year pretending this one does not exist
But I think I might be the reason I'm breaking, and I'm sorry if my voice starts shaking because this
They say you fall in love three times.
The first love is an introduction.
Young, and silly,
Love for what we knew it to be before we had ever told anyone those three words.
I don't know when it started,
All I know is that I woke up one day
And realized no one really knew me
The people I held close
"I just want an HONEST WOMAN. Where can I find one of those?"
She's out there
In the quiet corner of the bustling coffee shop, deep thought caught in a betterment book
"When was it that you unlearned how to love you?"
Somewhere between a 5 year old in lacy socks
and a 15 year old in oversized t-shirts
My second life began when I started chasing the feeling of being alive
I found it many places you'd expect:
Running off mountain tops into open glider arms
I want to love you,
but I need to love me first
You are truly good, please understand
But when you shone your light on me,
