What Falling in Love Feels Like
Your stomach fills with all of these butterflies. Some float around with a touch of blue to symbolize the sadness after thinking about all the bad things that could happen. Some flutter around with a touch of solid white to symbolize every single thought you have about them. And some are yellow to give meaning to the laughs, the smiles, and all of the joy they bring to you. Those butterflies don’t always mean you’re nervous, and they don’t always mean you’re scared. Sometimes they all run into each other when you don’t know what to think. Those butterflies are filled with the love you hold for that singular person.

Things You Realize After Losing A Loved One
1. They will no longer be by your side when you need them. That person that was going to give you away at your wedding, the one who gave you advice on school and relationships, the one who sat with you at church because they were the only one who would go with you. They’re now gone and you don’t know what to do. Who’s going to go worship God with you? Now you go by yourself and pray to God and your loved one. Who’s going to help you with relationships? Now you don’t know what you deserve and repeatedly get hurt and wonder why it happened. Your future spouse will never meet the person who gave you so much to be thankful for.

When I Wanted To Fall In Love, I Learned To Fall In Love With Myself
I craved affection of some sort. I wanted to feel as if I was beautiful, but if I told myself, I’d never believe it. I desired someone’s shoulder for my tears to fall on when I needed it. I hoped there’d be a hand to hold and for someone to tell me “It’ll be okay” even if it won’t be. I wished someone's hand would be in mine as I drove to wherever I was headed.

To The Grandpa I Miss in Heaven, I Think About You Everyday
Dear papa, I’m not going to lie, these past months have been hard without you. It’s been hard not being able to run to you about my great news or when I need advice. It’s been a struggle not being able to show you my growth in painting and not being able to run to you with a new one to show you. There aren’t enough words in the English dictionary to explain how much I love and miss you, just know I do. The glue of our entire family is gone, and I don’t think that pain will ever go away.
