Getting the most(y) out of rösti
Is it a hashbrown? A hushpuppy? Risotto? Is it a side dish? Breakfast? Late-night snack? Whatever this strange Swiss dish was sitting on my plate, it was begging to be consumed. It was crispy golden brown, fried to perfection and oozing with grease and cheese. “Rösti,” said the smiling Swiss waitress, observing me indulgently, “eat it. It’s good.”

Have your cake and eat your fruits and vegetables too
Ask anyone that knows me, and they’ll tell you there’s more foods I don’t eat than those that I do. I’ve never eaten salad, touched an orange, or tried seafood. I wouldn’t survive being a vegan, as much as I wish I could for personal ethical and environmental reasons.
