Finding comfort in my garden
I'm overly anxious most of the time. I grew up in New York, then moved to Florida for college and stayed there for 19 years. Life was crazy with college, then a career, the trials and tribulations of finding love, and much more. After I met my husband, married and gave birth to our 2 beautiful daughters, my husband got a job in Colorado. Off we went with dreams of mountains, humidity-free weather, and for me... being able to finally grow a garden.

Memoir of a Food Addict
I would like to believe that the sum of myself, currently, as a whole is in direct correlation with my more recent experiences in life- and to that effect, my current story began in 2012 – eight years prior to the year this book is written. I was 30 years old.

Happy Trails
Sometimes the smallest, most simple joys for one person are able to warm the hearts of many. Columbine West, a small neighborhood of about 1600 homes in Littleton, is home to a wonderful couple who have done just that. Dale and Cynthia Zimmerman’s story has changed the very fabric of the neighborhood and brought hundreds of people together to show just how amazing and loving the human spirit can be.

Quilting makes me feel less stabby.
There is nothing I can’t do without a pair of scissors in hand. See, here’s the thing… I love working with my hands. As someone who suffers from high anxiety, there’s something about making things with my hands that provides a sense of calm. A grounding effect, if you will, to focus my energy on the task literally “at hand” rather than allow the overwhelming speed of my anxious brain to take over and send me spiraling into a depression. Crafting isn’t just a fun hobby, it’s a way of life. It’s a mode of self-expression. It’s how I show love for others - by making them memorable, personalized gifts.
