Climbing The World’s Highest Tree Lookout
From the top of the world’s highest tree lookout one question floated on the surrounding tree tops: how can this—this vast expanse of massive looming gums, the tranquil winding rivers begging to be kayaked, hiking trails that in any other country would classify as a pilgrimage—how is this not iconic.

Hi Vocal, Could We Have a Suggestions Box?
Vocal has some great attributes. It is a great way for people without much experience—or maybe confidence—to express themselves creatively and, whether or not you get many reads, it is fun to add your thoughts to an ever growing community like this one. In that spirit I would love to advocate for a suggestions community, or a challenge, to promote ideas that users think could further improve Vocal’s service. This is not to say all suggestions should be taken up, but there are so many contributors out there I would be amazed if one or two people didn’t have good idea about small additions that could make Vocal a better place for everyone.

Sleep, The Thief, and Me
I slept in again. How does this keep happening? Hours of my day stolen right before me. I never see them being taken. Has a thief ever been so clever as to make you crave loss? I so enjoy it that by the end of day I welcome back that thief I know is robbing me. I trust that this time I will shake myself from my hypnotic slumber before too much is gone. I wake a moment later, hours have past and I am too lethargic to chase that monster down the street to retrieve the time it’s taken.

5 Reasons Why Self-Publishing Platforms Like Vocal Are Brilliant (And 5 Reasons Why They Are Not)
I will begin with a confession: I struggle to put my writing in the public eye. I don’t struggle to show people. My family and close friends will attest to the eagerness with which I present any and all half written lines for critique. My mother, a writer and editor herself, always sends me away stating, “You need to finish your work before you can get feedback.”
