Clothing resale; a sustainable future of an industry killer?
Have you ever got the feeling of dread at the thought of cleaning your closet? Or maybe that pile of clothes on the floor waiting to be sorted and put away? Like many of us, the problem of our excessive wardrobes is becoming a larger concern than we imagined. Approximately 300,000 tonnes of clothing are being thrown out into landfill every year yet only a small fraction of that is recycled into new textiles. So how do we combat a problem that we have created? You incentivise change for the better and add profit. Reselling has become an economic force exceeding the billion-dollar market revenue, and the ones who profit are the youth. Depop, eBay, Grailed are some of the big-name companies out there that are paving the way for the future of fashion from the tip of your fingers. This begs the question, are people really becoming more ecologically conscious or is it just another commercial ploy?

Unisex Vs Gender Neutral Fashion - What's the difference?
You’ve seen it countless times again and again through fast fashion retail stores to high street boutiques, the term ‘unisex’ has become a common label for many brands. And as with many things it has also become a trendy statement by many companies to act as a case-all solution for inclusivity. But is it actually a suitable word to indicate your brand's diverseness? Or is it just an excuse for lazy fashion design.

Black Creatives in the fashion industry that you should be following now.
The fashion landscape is ever-changing, ebbing and flowing around the current trends and offering a response to the societal pressures that people face. So, it’s appropriate that during these tumultuous times and with everything negative going on in the world, we should appreciate the achievements of people as a positive note. In light of the “Black lives Matter” movement, it’s the time for black creatives to take the spotlight and ultimately pave the way for better representation for the whole industry. So, in this article, I’ll divulge into a couple of my favourite black designers that should be or currently be on your radar.
