Trial and error - denial and failure
It paints itself across her floor
Inadequacy near - she recoils in terror -
Enough to leave your mind destroyed.

They want to know the smell of you
Smudged underneath the window frame
You've grown sick on all you had to lose
It's no use, you feel so damn insane.

The days do start in walks, through rain and fire, thrown in open roads of plastered streets; no gun control or sympathy. In a way it's ecstasy: The absence of an energy, that keeps pushing away.
19, chainsmoke, in calloused heat
5 cigarettes, perform then leave.
Dad just passed, the blast - all grief
"The road ahead just seems too steep!"
The sweetness sickens solace,
In the resolve of all that's left.
We loved it, but we saw it -
Happening - suppressed.
Nobody's here tomorrow
No one is here today
So just spend the night in sorrow
And next week you'll be okay
You can play the strings to follow
