The Package
It was a dreary October day. Jonathan pulled his jacket a little tighter as he walked toward his job at the local convenience store. It wasn't much, but it was something. It payed the bills. Mostly, anyway. Jonathan had a lot on his mind today. He was falling behind on some bills and didn't really know how he'd make the ends meet. He knew he needed a better job, but bring right out of highschool with no college education, there wasn't much to choose from. The pandemic wasn't helping. No one was hiring. Most companies were actually laying people off.

It's not ok to not be ok.
There is a popular saying about mental health-"It's ok to not be ok." It references mental health and the struggle to tell others when you need help, instead of letting it get the best of you. It means that you don't have to act like everything is ok when it's not. It gives a sense that if you are struggling and ask for help, that you will get that help, without negative consequences. After all, you are doing the right thing by taking care of yourself, right?

A Girl With a Dream
It had been a long day. Working at a hospital during an epidemic was exhausting. Alicia tossed her keys on the table by the door and headed to the kitchen for a drink. Having acquired a glass of wine, a souvenir from a trip last year's trip to a California vineyard, she sank down on her couch with a sigh.
