'Rugrats' Is Shaping the Way for Young Girls
While a lot of children’s television may seem like nonsense, there may actually be some true gems hidden in the dust. A series I grew up watching was Rugrats. This show portrayed the lives of a group of babies and toddlers finding new adventures through their imagination. While the show is silly and cheesy, I realize now that this show actually kept some wonderful messages for children—especially young girls. After hearing that every Disney princess movie is a bad influence for young girls, I was happy to hear one of my childhood series was a keeper.

All the Ways I Relate to Squidward Tentacles as an Adult
I grew up watching the beloved cartoon series Spongebob Squarepants. I think most young adults who watched the show can agree that when they were a kid, Spongebob Squarepants was their spirit animal, or more specifically, their spirit sea sponge. At the same time, they also felt Squidward Tentacles was the grumpy next door neighbor who ruined all the fun. Re-watching the show in my 20s, I realize a lot has changed and, in fact, Squidward is a perfect representation of my confusing young adult life.

The radio is a wonderful addition that nearly everyone has in the form of a small, black rectangle stuffed into their cars. Yes, we have moved onto streaming services and aux chords to blast personalized playlists from our smartphones, but radio has still persevered.
