Project selection criteria for engineering students
Important parameters to be considered are: 1. Usefulness Simply fabricating something is a waste of money and effort. The project should be useful to the people in the country or region to which it is targeted. For example, if we are planning to do a room heater in a place where the average temperature is nearly 38 degrees centigrade, it is meaningless. Normally, a project should be in the form of a solution to the existing problem for a specific geographic region. An example is getting desalinated water for a small city near a beach, using a solar power unit.

Good old valve radio
My grandfather had a very old radio, much bigger than today’s micro oven. He used to decide which station to be tuned in to and which program to be tuned in. It was a valve-type radio and it used to take some five minutes to get the valves to get heated up. Before that, we were unable to listen to anything. That was the technology at that time, about nearly 40 years ago when I was a school kid.

Simple Methods to increase blog traffic
Here, I have explained simple but effective methods to increase the blog traffic. 1. Quality. It is actually quality and not quantity of posts that is important in a blog. But very less quantity is also bad. We have to write quality posts only. It is important to write lengthy quality posts rather than very large numbers of small posts. Each quality post will add traffic to the blog. That means instead of writing hundred post of say some hundred words each, it is better to write one post of some 600 to 800 words.
