Teleworking, Apathy in today’s workforce
Teleworking has increased since the COVID pandemic was revealed. Teleworking is something that was recognized as something that was becoming a tool that was needed more often. Sometimes for a benefit to the company as those who were traveling could still gain access to their data and continue to be productive with the team. And other times where it was a benefit to the employee so that they could take care of family or take care of other issues.

Susan had been an explorer since she was little. Always being mischievous in her adventures, her mother and father seemed like they were always one step behind in trying to keep up with her. This made her tough and able to survive through things that others would likely succumb to.

56 Degrees
Jim was out checking the cattle. A large herd that he oversaw was almost feral in nature. They didn’t come around humans much, but they did come around especially during the winter when the ranch hands would put out hay and alfalfa for them. It was well into spring and the temperature would be rising to where grass and hay would start growing again. There wasn’t much permafrost on this island due to the surrounding waters of the Gulf of Alaska. The Gulf always stayed above freezing but not by much. It was too cold to go swimming year-round.

The Storm Chases
As Lori sat in her car plotting the path of the storm, she sent a text to James to see if he agreed with the path. The Last thing she would want to do was be in front of it. You always want to chase a storm from the opposite direction it is heading. Most storms in our area travel in an easterly direction. Sometimes they are northeast sometimes they are southeast. It is the occasional storm that goes against that pattern. This current storm was headed southeast therefore it was important to approach it from the northwest side.

Raging Bull, Oaklee's Pet
Raging Bull, Oaklee’s Pet He earned his name as a young bull calf. Rage is his name. He had escaped so many times that Trent was so tired of having to go catch him. He just wished that he would get run over. Trent and Michelle were so busy with raising their 4 kids that they really didn’t have time for Rage. Not to mention the school and everything for their kids, their youngest was born with HLHS. Having a daughter who has hypoplastic left heart syndrome can be a struggle for a family with no children let alone being one of four.

What Gilbert didn’t eat At age 14 Misty had everything she could hope for. A loving family. Her mother was a stay-at-home mom and her father an engineer and they did everything they could for her. She was a good kid in school, had good grades and was one of the popular kids. She had all the friends she could hope for.

Pitch Black
It was dark, having just woke up he could do not realize where he was or why it was so dark. He knew he was in a bed, and it was quiet. He laid still for a moment knowing that this wasn’t his bedroom or his house. As his senses started to take hold, he could feel the rails of what felt like a hospital bed. How long had he been here and if he were in a hospital why was it dark?
