Monday Night
Every Monday evening at seven for the past eleven months, the waiter would place a glass of merlot on the table in front of the middle window facing the street at the Blue Rose Inn. It’s an arrangement Stephen and the manager made after his wife’s tragic death. The glass of wine would sit there, even if Stephen was running late and no one dared disturb that table from seven on.

I Want That!
My wife and I were talking about watches about a week ago. The one I had quit working a few months back, I was still wearing it for the fashion, clearly not for the time. No wonder I was always running late, at least I looked good sporting a fine wrist watch. Within minutes of our conversation, smart watch ads began popping up on my social media feeds. I couldn't scroll through Facebook or do a Google search without coming across a watch advertisement. It's like they were ease-dropping on our conversation! I wonder what else they heard us talking about. I could probably find out by looking at my Facebook ads more closely.

Sprinklers
Conrad stopped in his tracks, tiny pieces of dirt from the alley he was cutting through crept into his shoes. Annoyed by the intruders, he flung off his shoes and began to run across the lava-like ground. The reason for the sudden stop was the big dog that was trying to jump the fence to confront him in the alley. Though the dog didn’t succeed, he wasn’t gonna stick around until he did.
