Wealth in poverty!!
the DRC or the Democratic Republic of Congo is purported to be home to trillions of dollars worth of rare earth minerals and untapped natural resources but it's considered one of the poorest countries in the world the Republic is so resource Rich that it has Timber oil and gas iron ore gold diamonds and minerals critical to the energy transition like Cobalt and copper it's one of the most biodiverse areas in the world but as of 2022 it ranked 96th out of 223 countries in terms of GDP based on the World Bank why is this the case [Music] the largest nation in sub-Saharan Africa SSA is the Democratic Republic of the Congo the DRC is blessed with extraordinary natural resources including the second largest rainforest in the world Cobalt and copper mines hydroelectric potential major arable land and abundant biodiversity yet with more than 70 percent of its inhabitants living in extreme poverty the DRC is still one of the world's poorest Nations around 60 million Congolese survived on less than two dollars and fifteen cents per day in 2022 political unrest is one of the key causes of the nation's poverty and Decades of strife and violence have Afflicted the DRC while numerous armed groups and militias Vie for control of the nation's resources a serious ongoing humanitarian crisis has resulted from a protracted history of conflict political upheaval instability and authoritarian governance additionally population have been forcibly displaced since the end of the Congo Wars in 2003 these characteristics haven't changed and Corruption is still a big issue the nation has a history of unscrupulous leaders that have stolen billions of dollars from the national treasury leaving little money for social and development initiatives this has resulted in a shortage of funding for Vital infrastructure projects that are needed for the development and growth of the economy including roads hospitals and education deforestation Mining and other human activities that have resulted in soil degradation erosion and biodiversity loss have also created severe environmental problems in the DRC the DRC is one of the wealthiest nations in the world in terms of Natural Resources with an estimated 24 trillion dollars worth of undiscovered minerals lithium and Cobalt are just two of the many natural resources found in the Democratic Republic of Congo along with copper gold and Colton the DRC is a significant player in the world economy since these minerals are essential for many Industries including Aerospace Automotive renewable energy and electronics lithium is a highly reactive soft silver white metal used to make batteries Ceramics glass and pharmaceuticals lithium reserves in the nation have yet to be fully investigated but it's thought to contain sizable unexplored amounts Cobalt is another mineral that's thought to be abundant in the Republic with experts arguing that as much as 60 percent of the world's Cobalt can be found in the DRC a few grams of cobalt are needed for a smartphone tablet or laptop whereas 22 pounds is needed for an electric vehicle the DRC is the world's greatest producer of cobalt with estimated reserves of roughly 3.6 million metric tons however there have been numerous charges of corruption environmental harm and human rights violations related to the mining of these minerals in the DRC the mining sector has come under Fire for allegedly exploiting child labor with an estimated 40 000 kids working in Cobalt mines and other mines Across the Nation the DRC has the potential to play a significant role in the production of lithium and Cobalt due to the rising demand for electric vehicles renewable energy storage systems and other high-tech goods and many Congolese people's living standards could be dramatically raised by the natural riches in the DRC if the resources were harvested ethically it would create employment opportunities bring in money for the government upgrade the infrastructure and make investments in vital services like health care and education but to do this the mining sector needs to be managed responsibly and sustainably despite this natural richness the DRC currently has one of the lowest economies in the world due to capacity expansion and a rebound in global demand mining sector Investments and exports continue to be the main drivers of development however non-mining sector growth was moderate and this was particularly true of the services sector a bigger current account deficit was caused by the fact that increasing food and fuel costs could not be offset by greater export revenues however foreign direct Investments and external financing helped to bolster reserves in limit excessive currency rate volatility the protracted conflict in Ukraine increased the price of food and energy globally which put pressure on domestic inflation and caused it to increase from 2021 to 2022 as increased income mobilization was unable to offset increased capital and current spending the budget deficit worsened due to favorable commodity prices is in the digitization of the revenue collection process domestic revenues reached their peak in 2022 while expenditures Rose as a result of special security spending every year's repayments salary adjustments and fuel subsidies the DRC has a promising medium-term prognosis with a growth projected to reach 7.5 percent by 2025. however the drc's economy is still susceptible to fluctuations in commodity prices and the expansion rates of its primary trading partners both of which could be hampered by geopolitical unrest by driving up the price of food and fuel globally the ongoing economic effects of the conflict in Ukraine could exacerbate poverty and inequality by increasing the budget deficit inflation and family consumption [Music] foreign investors find it challenging to conduct business in the Democratic Republic of the Congo DRC due to the nation's historic violence and instability numerous issues such as ethnic tensions political rivalry and disagreements over land and natural resources have contributed to the conflicts the first Congo war from 1996 to 1997 was one of the most important battles in modern DRC history Mobutu sese Seco was deposed as president as a result of the conflict which engaged numerous armed organizations notably the Rwandan patriotic Army and Ugandan people's Defense Force even more tragically the second Congo War which broke out in 1998 and lasted until 2003 claimed to millions of lives and left countless people homeless and suffering the colonization of Belgium by King Leopold II still has an effect effect on the nation in the continuous violent disputes there the area of the battle has grown smaller but it did not lessen the harm it does for instance the country's primary political opposition party established a foothold in the southern Kasai area of the nation in 2012. even though they aren't political posts Chiefs in the DRC have a lot of authority and administrative control into Gina Pierre Pandi took on this responsibility in Kasai that year Pandi was however assassinated in 2016 after conflict between his supporters and the military due to this a large-scale battle broke out which resulted in the displacement of almost 1.4 million people the TRC has a complex and difficult humanitarian situation due to sporadic waves of warfare that occur throughout many areas of the nation the number of internally displaced people or idps in the Democratic Republic of the Congo exceeds 5 million making it the third largest IDP population in the world foreign investors face a difficult environment in the DRC because of the long-running conflicts and instability there corruption and a lack of openness along with persistent violence and insecurity have hampered economic progress and development to establish a secure and transparent economic environment that draws International Investment and benefits the Congolese people the government must place a high priority on peace building and good governance the DRC can establish itself internationally and contribute to wealth and well-being as the globe becomes more interconnected There's Hope for the Congo's future despite its difficulties ongoing efforts must address the infrastructural war and Corruption problems the road ahead may be difficult but the future of the DRC is in the hands of its citizens and leaders foreign [Music]

Why hyperrealistic reborn dolls are expensive??
foreign it's a silicon-based hyper-realistic doll but just like a baby it can move its eyes change facial expressions and even breathe hyper realistic baby doll producers like baby Clon spend months hand making convincing look-alikes dolls like these sell for a minimum of 1700 euros the most expensive models can reach upwards of fifteen thousand every last detail from the texture of the skin to the hair on the doll's head is hand crafted these dolls are often collector's items but they're also used in medical settings like Midwifery training and therapy so what makes these baby dolls so lifelike and why are they so expensive in Catalonia Spain Christina Iglesias and a small team of Artisans at baby clone are making some of the world's most realistic and expensive baby dolls realism Christina Drew on her nearly two decades of experience creating hyper realistic effects for zombie and fantasy movies to found baby clone a decade ago also known as Reborn Dolls these dolls have an eerily lifelike quality that allows the company to sell them for top dollar the basic model for baby clone's most popular line newborns starts at just under 2 000 Euros and adding more features can increase the price significantly is but baby clown doesn't just work on human baby dolls they also sell infant versions of beloved characters like E.T or the navi from Avatar creating these lifelike dolls is a four month long process and it all starts with sculpting the Prototype this prototype will be used to create a mold for the final silicon doll standard models already have molds that are reused but any dolls with customizations need to be designed from the ground up today the baby clown team is sculpting its ET doll when finished it'll sell for 1650 euros like most of their dolls this one is being sculpted out of plasticine clay craftspeople perfect the folds on the skin and even the Skin's texture these details are directly transferred onto the mold so it's imperative that every last square millimeter is hyper detailed that's why this step requires the most skill without extreme attention to realism here the subsequent mold is useless foreign the sculpture is destroyed [Music] that's why it's important Eugenie Works carefully as any mistake in the mold means the sculpture will have to be redone is foreign one of the main reasons for baby clown dolls high price point is the Silicon they're made from its medical grade Platinum silicon which is often used in implants and Prosthetics according to Christina this silicon provides the most durability and realism possible that's why the company is willing to spend 300 Euros on Silicon alone for each baby in fact the cost of materials can reach 450 euros per doll Eugenia uses a special formulation for the Silicon mixture to achieve the most realistic looking skin weight and texture this extreme attention to detail accounts for up to 80 of the value of the dolls baby clown sells [Music] over half of the product's price is attributed to the cost of Labor alone once the injection is complete Eugenie lets the Silicon dry for 24 hours he carefully opens the mold to reveal the doll inside thank you [Music] but the molds don't include all the parts of the doll like the hands or feet those are assembled together here joining the body and limbs of the Dolls is the most challenging part of the process is [Music] Artisans carefully remove excess silicon making sure not to cut too deeply and damage the doll's skin the realism of the doll's physical structure hinges on how seamless they can make the joints look once this is accomplished the doll is ready to come to life in the painting and hair Department here craftspeople meticulously work on the Cosmetic details from the texture of the skin to the shine of the nails and the color variation in the mouth various changes in complexion and veining on the body are all painted on foreign until Artisans achieve the desired look many of baby kron's clients as with other Reborn dolls are collectors and enthusiasts however these hyper realistic dolls are also used in other settings such as therapy for grieving parents and medical training like that provided by Michelle beacock the examination that I teach is a specialty Midwifery exam which all students now have to do if as a midwife we need to learn how to do a neonatal examination I feel that we need to do it on a really realistic baby because it's a really really important thing that we're looking at this baby and trying to confirm normality or not so if you're learning normal on a baby doll that doesn't look normal how are you ever going to know normal I think it's really really important that we have dolls like this so that you know it's it's nearly as good as that real life baby in front of you Michelle worked closely with baby Clon to design male and female dolls that are as an atomically accurate as possible including clavicles and pelvic bones they're called Olivia and John because they um they arrived on the day that Olivia Newton-John died and I think our technician was a fan though Olivia and John cost around 11 000 Euros together these dolls offer the most realistic experience Michelle could find on the market and even on this you can see how hard it is to to do the hip exam as opposed to that there's just a lot more realistic students training on a stiffer less accurate doll won't know exactly what to look for until they do their first examination on a real baby that's a huge chance to take when teaching midwives and it's a gamble every time because you're lovely but but no the more realistic the doll the more prepared The Midwives will be to thoroughly assess the health of the baby so basically all babies have what we call suture lines and fontanels little gaps in the scalp basically you can feel there you can feel the suture lines there and there's a bigger Fontana at the front that doesn't normally close till about 18 months the students need to be used to feeling that fontanelle if that was smaller or fused or closed it could indicate that there's a problem with with the brain not being able to grow because of the gaps in the heads not being there but the hyper realism doesn't end at the look and feel of the doll baby clown also offers animatronic dolls priced at just under 5 000 Euros these dolls can mimic breathing suckling and eye movements and for an extra few hundred euros buyers can also add a drink and wet system or eaten poo just as a real baby would start hello baby clone is even experimenting with AI saying it could Foster a more realistic interaction between dull and human it's complicated activities as technology evolves so will lifelike dolls and the uses their customers dream up I just didn't think that I'd ever get a doll like this to teach with and I'm absolutely thrilled that we have so if you think we've gone in my time of teaching from that to that it's just the difference is incredible foreign

Reason behind Antartica ice wall
Antarctica is larger than the USA and Mexico combined and yet we still know next to nothing about what's hidden behind its menacing ice walls so what's actually lurking down near the South Pole well Gold spurting volcanoes human skulls and blood flowing waterfalls for starters folks dress warm because we're about to find out even more bones it might seem like Antarctica is nothing but ice ice and up did we mention ice but if we rewind the clock back to 71 million years ago lifeless flourishing there is no polar icecaps it was far warmer than it is now and Antarctica was reminiscent of a prehistoric Jurassic Park with dinosaurs strolling around alongside a range of other animals how do we know this well back in 2016 a team of researchers stumbled across a huge finding on James Ross island which is right about here now it wasn't pieces of the Titanic because that actually sank in the North Atlantic on the other side of the world it was in fact a ton of preserved bones these bones now considered fossils were analyzed and declared to be anywhere between 71 and 67 million years old most of them were related to ancient duck like creatures but don't you worry of course there were dinosaur bones to remember the Mosasaurus from Jurassic world well yeah they found evidence of that old beast floating around a human skull jump in the time machine skip back a few decades further and scientists actually discovered something even more intriguing a human skull yep back in 1985 researchers came across a human head which was thought to have been from the early 1820s making it one of if not the first landing in Antarctica we say landing because it supposedly belonged to an indigenous woman from southern Chile and was found right about here Yamata beach at Cape sheriff on the South Shetland Islands so you get the idea Antarctica isn't just ice and penguins it's a bone riddled graveyard as well mountains under the ice we're well aware of the immense amount of ice that covers Antarctica these days right the continent boasts around 90% of the planets freshwater ice with a 99% of the landmass being made up from two enormous three mile thick sheets of the stuff all up crossing roughly 5.4 million square miles that's like the contiguous United States three million 119,000 sorry Hawaii in Alaska not this time plus Argentina 1,100,000 Kazakhstan 1 million and France two hundred ten thousand 26 all rolled into one with a landmass that enormous you're probably thinking that there must be more to the story and you're right there is amazingly there's actually loads more to find including a mountain range but we're not talking about the Transantarctic mountains or Mount Erebus we're talking about the gambits of mountain range which is ready for it sneakily hidden away underneath the ice scientists actually discovered it back in 1958 when suddenly found themselves on thin ice within an area where it was supposed to be miles thick that the peaks below were discovered to be 9,000 feet high and close to 750 miles in width whoever thought that an entire Mountain would be good at hide-and-seek huh crystal spewing volcano you know what else is hiding behind that intimidating Antarctic ice wall a volcano that spurts of crystals whenever it darn well feels like it that's right Mount Erebus which is the second highest volcano in Antarctica and the southernmost active volcano on earth actually shoots out crystals from its central vent and has been doing so since way back in the 1970s these little crystals are called in North oklet's and look like this but they're not the only magic happening at this mysterious mountain American geologists have also found tiny crystals of metallic gold and nearby snow measuring up to 0.02 millimeters so like teeny tiny sadly though it's not enough to make us stinking rich any time soon the mountain only spurts about 80 grams of gold a day and considering that it covers a huge area with a peak of 3,700 94 meters good luck finding those microscopic specks but how is this even possible well Mount Erebus being you know a fiery volcano creates lava it's also one of the three permanent lakes of molten lava in the war that hot as heck lava amid searing gas and one of the elements in that gas is gold hallelujah when that gas makes contact with the icy air the temperature of the gas drops cooling from over 1,000 Celsius to under 100 Celsius creating tiny solids this entire process happens within a couple meters of the lava pool right speaking of gold want to know how much yours could be worth in the future check this out then the blood-red waterfall waterfalls are generally clear correct sometimes they can be a little brown if the water is muddy or white if the water is crashing hard but you know what they're usually not red waterfalls are not red ha well actually that's wrong in reality behind that ominous Antarctic wall of ice they are say hello to the appropriately named blood falls over at Taylor glacier located right about here take one look at that color and it's ominous bubbling and you'll understand how it got its name but what's the deal surely this isn't the aftermath of a gladiator battle or a massacre on ice thankfully there's nothing menacing going on over here the color is totally natural scientists initially thought that it was due to a collection of red algae from though because that sense been disproven after knocking their heads together and scanning the area beneath the falls researchers finally figured out that it was all thanks to a network of rivers and a glacier down under the ice surface all of which had flowing water that was abnormally high in iron it was the iron that caused the reddish tint hold on a second how can there be a flowing waterfall when the temperatures down there colder than my ex-girlfriends hard but well it's because those underground waters have a composition that includes a high level of salt water which by the way has a much lower freezing point compared to regular water so the high salt level combined with the iron is the reason why the blood falls don't freeze despite it being well below freezing temperatures at a mere 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit around negative 17 Celsius striped icebergs moving on most of the time the iceberg down in Antarctica are either snow capped in white or have a clear turquoise color reflect the water in sky but that makes plenty of sense you know it doesn't though green icebergs and black icebergs and royal blue icebergs yeah weird isn't it well they exist in incredibly they're actually rather common down near the South Pole these colors aren't just solid blocks of ice that looked like they've been mixed with some home brand food dye nope the colors usually appear in striped patterns it might seem crazy but it's actually true and there's a very simple explanation for it it's all due to the particular elements that were present in the water when they froze frozen water with algae becomes green grows and meltwater becomes blue and frozen water lined with the various sediments usually becomes black have you ever found a fly frozen in your ice cube tray similar concept to ATMs coming in way out of left field let's give a quick shout out to the two solitaire ATMs living in solitude down in Antarctica over at the McMurdo Station which is the largest scientific Basin across the entire region there is actually a shred of civilization wait how it sounds nuts but where do you think the researchers hang out when they're not climbing up Mount Erebus or playing tag with the Penguins McMurdo is home to some coffee shops a general store a post office and a few other bits and pieces and what do you need to buy things at these stores money since 1998 that pair of Wells Fargo ATMs have been the only means of withdrawing cash people might not venture down into Antarctica's icy abyss very often however that doesn't mean that it's a lifeless desert wait desert yeah you heard us right it might not have the sands of the Sahara man you wouldn't think a place largely covered in snow and ice would be dry but huzzah that's the case with Antarctica it's actually the try ass play Sun planet earth officially classified as a cold desert anyway where were we oh yeah life in the desert there are a number of endemic animals crawling swimming skating and hopping around the area some of which are cuddly and some of which are creepy and vicious all mostly hidden beyond the ice wall animals first off we've got the strange potentially scary yet definitely ugly sea pigs these so-called slugs of the sea have often been called the ugliest creature beneath the waves and it's not hard to see why then we've got our sea spiders these little critters can actually be found in other locations around the world however they're generally at sea Betsy growing up to a mere one millimeter in size in the Antarctic however things have taken a nightmarish turn Mother Nature has really outdone herself this time creating a concept called polar gigantism which effectively turns these teeny tiny sea spiders into pants wedding shriek inducing Sea Devils growing enormous ly to have a leg span of ten inches or 25 centimeters no thank you far friendlier are the emperor penguins phew these cute as a button birds are the largest of all species of penguin growing up to 45 inches and weighing up to 45 kilograms and in that bitterly cold weather we don't blame them for putting on a few extra pounds the chinstrap penguins by comparison are a little smaller but still just as cute rounding out our list of things hidden behind that menacing Antarctic wall we've got the enormous bird that is the wandering albatross with a captivating blue whale which is the largest animal ever known to have existed the killer whale aka the Orca which has actually rather friendly to humans and finally perhaps Antarctica's most violent creature of them all any guesses no not polar bears there they're the ones that go up in the north it's the leopard seal well that's all for what's really hiding out down in Antarctica do you want to visit there let us know in the comments make sure to like this video subscribe to the richest and join our notification squad thanks for watching and we'll see you next time

A True horror unfolded inside a bakery....
foreign we've compiled 15 true horror stories that will make your blood run cold these terrifying Tales will keep you on the edge of your seat and each story is based on real life events that will leave you questioning what's really around the corner for any of us you're going to want to stay for the last one as we talk about an event that is very similar to the Titan Expedition however in this case two men were stuck only submersible at the bottom of the ocean for 76 hours they had just 12 minutes of oxygen left before they were rescued you all know the drill hit those lights sit back and enjoy now before we begin we'd just like to say a few words about Aura we know that the world is a scary place we've shown you enough spooky Supernatural and downright creepy things on this channel to be aware of it but sometimes Googling yourself can be the scariest thing of all if you've ever done this you might well be shocked to see your personal details plastered on the public site just ready to be sold to the highest bidder it's weird to see your data on there but it's worse when you realize that people are making money off selling your data to all sorts of people luckily today's sponsor Aura can help make all of that go away Aura is an amazing service that can automatically plug up the leaks in your personal information sending requests to data Brokers to remove your data it's not just that though Aura offers the full protection package including a VPN antivirus identity theft Insurance and more all for one affordable price Aura can keep you safe online so you can have one less thing to worry about you can try Aura for free for two weeks by using our link www.ora.com forward slash top fives by scanning the QR code on the screen or by clicking the link in the description and now if you haven't already done so hit those lights sit back and enjoy the bakery workers who got baked in 2001 a horrific accident happened due to a company cutting corners and trying to save money something we've heard far too often David Mays and Ian Erickson Bakery workers at Harvest Time Bakery in Leicester were asked to repair an oven that had broken down the machine should have been allowed to cool for 12 hours but was only left for two when the men clambered in to make the repairs they climbed through the bottom of the oven onto a conveyor used to take the dough through the giant machine all they were wearing were thin all-in-one suits as little as they know at the center of the oven was still 100 degrees Centigrade hot enough to boil water Erickson had taken a radio in with him and after a few minutes inside he sent a panicky message saying it was too hot but by this time the two men were trapped there was no system for reversing the conveyor or quickly getting them out of the oven it took 17 minutes for the conveyor to pass through the oven before the men could be helped Ericsson was brought out in a state of collapse with extensive Burns and Maize was trapped inside the oven and by the time he was freed had 80 Burns to his body and died at the scene the tragedy occurred because the bakery put productivity above safety the repair should have taken four men 12 hours meaning the company would have lost 1120 pounds for every hour the oven was shut down to save money they baked two of their employees instead the hoarder who lost his son's body in 2016 Rita wolfenson was living alone in a home in Brooklyn Rita who was registered blind had for many years collected things that filled her house to the brim Rita was married with two grown-up Sons but unfortunately her husband died in 1987 and one of her sons died in 2003. Rita had lost contact with extended family members although she had recently rekindled communication with her brother which led to the horrific Discovery found in her house Rita had been admitted to hospital after suffering a bad form and her brother's wife went to Rita's house to collect some clothes and toiletries for her stay there when she entered the home she was struck by the overwhelming stench of rotting food the house was crammed with hoarded items and rubbish however worse was to come as upstairs in one of the bedrooms with a fully intact skeleton lying on a mattress wearing clothes the police were called and after investigations it was revealed The Remains belonged to Rita's other son Lewis the discovery was news to Rita as she was under the impression her son had moved out of their Brooklyn home 20 years prior the room where he was found was filled to the brim with garbage and rotting food that likely masked the smell of Rotting Flesh and Rita wouldn't have been able to see or smile the decomposing body of her son incredibly the police believed Rito was telling the truth and had no idea she had been living for many years with her son's corpse an autopsy confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances and Lewis died of natural causes Sanju bhagat as a child Sanju bhagat from nagpur India was healthy enough although he had a noticeably protruding stomach as he got older he was teased and nicknamed the pregnant man by locals however in his twenties bagat's stomach ballooned and was so swollen he looked nine months pregnant and could barely breathe he lived with the Affliction for several years not knowing what was causing it until one night in June 1999 the then 36 year old's breathing got so bad that he was rushed to hospital where doctors thought he might have a giant tumor they operated on baghat fearing the worst but during the operation the surgeon saw something that he had never encountered before as he cut into backup's stomach gallons of fluid poured out and inside the stomach cavity there appeared to be many bones some hair and genitalia it seemed there was some strange half-formed creature living in bhagat's tummy what had been removed was actually the mutilated body of bhagat's twin brother since birth bhagat had been living with one of the world's most bizarre medical conditions a fetus in Fatu an extremely rare abnormality that occurs when a fetus gets trapped inside its twin the trapped fetus can then survive as a parasite by forming an umbilical cord-like structure that leeches to its twins blood supply until it grows so large that it starts to harm its host fetus in Fatu happens very early in a twin pregnancy when one fetus wraps around and encompasses the other the strongest fetus grows while the fetus that would have been its twin lives on throughout the pregnancy feeding off its host twin like a parasite at Birth usually both twins die from the strain of sharing a placenta however in this case the host twin Baggett survived as soon as bhagat's twin was removed his pain and inability to breathe disappeared it's just a shame that it took 36 years to diagnose two-year-old Boy regurgitated Alive by a hippo you heard that right in December 2022 it emerged that a toddler had a lucky Escape in an accident so horrific it must have scared the young boy for life two-year-old igapol had been playing at his home near Lake Edward in Uganda when a hippo grabbed him from the shore and started to swallow him whole a brave onlooker saw the incident and began throwing stones at the animal to scare it into letting the boy go by this time the Beast had half swallowed the boy luckily the hippo spat out the child when he was rescued after the incident a terrified child was treated in hospital for injuries to his hand and given a rabies shot he has since made a full physical recovery residents who lived near the lake were warned by authorities that all wild animals are very dangerous and see humans as a threat hippos are the second largest land mammals on Earth and have reputation for being aggressive and have been known to snap a canoe in half with their bite and kill an estimated 500 humans a year in Africa that little boy had a very lucky Escape Muhammad mesfui walled up in the early 1900s Muhammad mesvue worked as a Shoemaker and Trader in Marrakesh Morocco along with his female assistant 70 year old Hannah outwardly he was a helpful and friendly man but he used his shop to live female customers and with the help of Anna drugged and killed at least 36 women after incapacitating them he cut their heads off with a dagger many of his mutilated victims were found in a pit under a shop eventually he was caught and confessed he killed his victims for money and in 1906 Muhammad was sentenced to be crucified This was later changed to beheading however the public was so outraged by his crimes they demanded that he should suffer for what he did so every day for four weeks he was led from his sow into the Market Square and lashed 10 times with a rod made from thorny Acacia whilst the baying crowd watched on it was finally decided because of the heinous nature of his crimes and as a warning to others Muhammad would be walled up alive in the Marrakesh Marketplace on June 11 1906 he was led inside the war through a hole that had been created that was two foot wide and about six foot high chains were attached to the back wall to ensure Muhammad did not attempt to escape and to keep him standing screaming for Mercy he fought to escape but was eventually chained up as bystanders through filth and awful at him the Masons then came forward to break up the opening after his intimate the crowd went silent but would cheer whenever they heard him scream inside mesfui could be heard for two days before falling silent on the third day following his death many in the crowd voiced their anger that he had died too quickly Stephen slavin in 2005 Stephen Slevin was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and other minor charges he was detained in a New Mexico county jail soon after his arrest it was determined that slavin suffered from depression and was a suicide risk these concerns led to him being put in solitary confinement despite never attending Court there he stayed for 22 months apparently forgotten about he was regularly prescribed medicine without actually seeing a doctor during his confinement Steven's mental and physical health declined and he resorted to pulling his own tooth out after he was denied access to a dentist he lost weight and developed a horrific fungal infection on his skin his hair and toenails grew long and unkempt his family and attorney tried to get him freed and he was only released after it was deemed his mental state was so bad he was unfit to participate in his defense speaking after his ordeal Stephen said why did they do what they did I have no idea his torture was acknowledged and he was awarded a settle under 15.5 million dollars in a case that should never have happened in Modern Day USA you can't even begin to imagine what he must have been going through wondering whether or not he would ever be released [Music] not yet dead in June 2023 76 year old Ecuadorian nurse Bella Montoya was admitted to hospital with a possible stroke and cardiopulmonary arrest and when she did not respond to resuscitation a doctor on duty declared her dead as you can imagine you know where this story is heading on June 9th Bella was placed in a coffin and taken to a funeral parlor where relatives held a vigil before her planned burial after around five hours they opened the coffin to change Bella's clothes ahead of her funeral it was then that the family noticed something was definitely not right they were shocked to see the corpse move her hand and open her eyes it was evident Bella was still alive the family immediately called an ambulance and Bella was taken back to the hospital where she had been declared dead sadly despite efforts to save her for a second time Bella died seven days later and her remains were taken back to the same funeral home where she woke up there is footage of this on the internet but we decided against showing it as it is quite distressing mattress jump a day young at hotel on December 25th 1971 a fire broke out at a 22-story day yongak hotel in Seoul South Korea in this dramatic photo a man trapped on an upper floor jumped clinging to a mattress in a desperate attempt to cushion his form sadly it did not help the man and he died along with 157 other people sweet kiss of death on June 4th 1923 22 year old jockey and horse trainer Frank Hayes lined up for a race at Belmont Park racetrack in New York he was riding 20 to 1 Outsider sweet kiss Frank was relatively inexperienced as a jockey having never won a race before the horse made steady progress through the race and crossed the Finish Line winning by a hand shortly after the race miss frailing the horse's owner and race officials rushed over to congratulate Frank on the horse only to discover that jockey was unresponsive in fact he was dead his thought Frank died in the later part of the race and his body remained in the saddle before crossing the line in front it was suggested that the Fatal heart attack that killed him might have been brought on by Hayes extreme efforts to meet the weight requirements as he had slimmed down from 142 pounds to 130 pounds in a very short time Hayes was buried three days later dressed in his racing silks the horse never raced again and it's claimed that sweet kiss was nicknamed sweet kiss of death for the rest of her life Frank Hayes was the first and so far only jockey known to have won a race after death Russian killer in December 1997 a spat of incredibly gruesome killings occurred in the snow-covered Wilderness in Russia's Far East the first victim was a 47 year old poacher called Vladimir Markov who's headless and eviscerated body was found near his remote cabin several days later the killer struck again this time the victim was a young former Soldier who'd gone hunting in the forest all that was left of him was some blood drenched clothing his watch his crucifix and a pair of boots in both cases the killer had targeted the victims and waited patiently for several days before carrying out its brutal ambush on the second occasion the Assassin had even carried a mattress for a nearby Hut to lie comfortably while waiting for his victim to turn up both killings have been carefully plotted and clinically executed both victims had also been eaten however this wasn't some deranged human serial killer it was a tiger it appears that Markov had stolen part of the Tiger's kill soaring off a couple of haunches of boar which the tiger had left in the snow for a later meal by doing so he made a very powerful enemy an alpha male tiger over nine feet long from nose to tail weighing about 500 pounds who possessed great intelligence astonishing memory and a highly vengeful nature Markov seemed to have known that the tiger was hunting him down and he faced a dilemma either leave his cabin in the forest and never return or take the Tiger on and destroy it Markov chose to take the Tiger on with deadly consequences after he mulled Markov the tiger turns attention to another human IA a young former Soldier unconnected to Markov was just an ordinary local boy trying to make ends meet by foraging in the forest Andre was aware of the Tiger but was young and confident he could take it on with his rusty old bolt action rifle sadly he was wrong the rifle proved useless and the tiger molt him to death before eating him the tiger that terrified the community was eventually hunted down and shot by authorities [Music] Gary hoy on July 9 1993 Canadian lawyer Gary Hoy a corporate and Securities Law specialist for the law firm of Holden day Wilson was giving a tour of the Toronto Dominion Center to a group of articling students in an attempt to demonstrate the strength of the structure's window glass he slammed himself against the glass something he had done on previous occasions for visitors to show the building's glass windows were Unbreakable after the first attempt as expected the glass did not break when he hit it but the second time Hoy tried it the glass howled but the Frame Window gave way causing the entire intact window and Ahoy to fall from the building killing him instantly 's death contributed to the closing of Holden D Wilson in 1996 which at the time was the largest Law Firm closure in Canada Amina barami an eye for an eye I'm gonna borrow me an Iranian student at azen University in Islam Shah was being harassed motherhedi attacked her she attempted to escape but he blocked her path and threw acid in her face she subsequently underwent 17 surgeries but was left badly disfigured and blind in both eyes at his trial barami testified against motherhedi she informed the court that she desired to inflict the same life on him that he inflicted on her and requested that 20 drops of acid be dropped in his eyes the punishment is permitted under the Chris's principle of sharia law and was agreed the punishment was due to be carried out on April 15 2009 but did not take place that year astonishingly mohavedi requested that if he were to be blinded the authority should also empty out parami's eyes to ensure that she could not secretly see a new punishment date of May 14 2011 was revealed but again the punishment did not happen and was postponed indefinitely on July 31 2011 it was revealed that barami had forgiven and pardoned her attacker stating that she did so for her country she now lives self-sufficiently in Spain Jesse Arbogast on July 6 2001 eight-year-old Jesse abacast from Ocean Springs was enjoying a 4th of July holiday weekend with his family at a beach near Pensacola Florida he Jesse's life Vance rattled the shark out of the water and a park ranger shot it and recovered abogast's arm from the shark's gullet Jesse was airlifted to the hospital and doctors managed to reattach the arm during 11 hours of surgery he made a good recovery but sadly he lost so much blood he suffered severe brain damage we are unsure how he is doing now Texas State University Freeman Ranch Body Farm this one is pretty gruesome there's a 28 acre Texas State University Ranch which is not your typical Farmland it's a forensic anthropology research facility more commonly referred to as a body Farm but this isn't a scene from some gruesome mass murder these bodies are here for science the facility is a human decomposition research lab where human remains are left outside in the fields or confined to cages to study how the flesh rots from the bones suddenly unprotected in the scorching Sun so researchers can track the effects of Scavenging there were dozens of bodies scattered across the ground some are complete cadavers others just a bit of Limbs and organs it currently has around 50 donated bodies anthropology students law enforcement officials and other researchers study the corpses to enhance their knowledge of human decay the lamb that has only been opened since 2008 has already received 150 donated bodies to be studied and has a list of over 200 still-living people registered to donate their bodies when they die to the facility offering a cheap alternative to funerary and burial expenses as Macabre as it may seem the facility is an invaluable resource for the international forensic science community although in driving past expecting to see some corn or farm animals bodies laying in fields can be a bit disconcerting trapped fifteen thousand feet underwater on Wednesday the 29th of August 1973 Roger malinson and Roger Chapman began a routine dive in Pisces three a Canadian commercial submersible their job was to work on laying transatlantic telephone cables on the seabed approximately 150 miles Southwest of cork in southern Ireland their eight-hour shift passed without incident however shortly after 9am when the submersible was about to be lifted out of the water back onto the ship a water alarm sounded and the crew heard the sound of water as Pisces 3 became inverted and began to sink back down to the seabed hanging by its rope the sub jolted to a Stomp and swung around violently before the line snapped and it hurtled down to the seabed the noise inside the capsule was intense and the men stacked cushions around them to break the fall and stuffed rags in their mouth to prevent them from biting through their tongues at 1575 foot the sub crashed to the floor bearing its nose in the seabed they were trapped inside the six foot diameter steel cabin at a depth twice that of any previous submarine rescue using a flashlight the crew were able to call their Mothership to update them on their position at this point they had 64 hours of oxygen left all they could do was wait to be rescued they knew they had to make as little physical exertion as possible to preserve oxygen not even speaking there was no toilet and they had very little food and water they needed to operate the scrubber an electrical filter that cleaned the air of carbon dioxide that their lungs continually breathed out if that didn't work they would soon suffocate thankfully the machine worked but it needed to be activated every 30 minutes if both men fell asleep and failed to switch it on there was a good chance neither would wake up cramped inside the cabin the two terrified men trembled with anxiety there was no immediate Escape all they could do was wait and Hope they knew help was on the way but would get there in time the CO2 scrubber meant they ached and had blinding headaches malinson also had an upset stomach and with no toilet he had to relieve himself into a bag the stench made the stuffy conditions even worse the men hurled together to keep warm and licked the condensation off their fingers to quench their thirst after 50 excruciating hours Rescuers located them however multiple attempts to secure a rescue line failed finally in the early hours of Saturday morning nearly 70 hours into the ordeal a line was secured but this was not the end of their nightmare as the sub was moved it started to send both men were hurled against the bulkhead the plastic bags that had been their portable toilet burst and they were thrown about like a washing machine as they were being winched upwards there was still the fear that the line would snap sending them back down to the bottom of the ocean after 76 hours they finally reached the surface but they still didn't know if the badly damaged hatch could be opened after several attempts a tremendous bang Was Heard and the men were free it was calculated they had just 12 minutes of oxygen left before they would have suffocated a truly horrendous ordeal and I wonder if either of these men continued in this line of work so that's it for this video we hope you've enjoyed these 15 terrifying horror stories that's our 100 true often times the true stories are often far more terrifying Than Fiction thanks for watchingndslw
