Should Boys Be Allowed to Play With Dolls?
This has been an ongoing topic for some time now. Some people believe that it is not OokayK, others have no qualms with it. Me personally, I don’t see what the big deal is. I believe there are great benefits to it, psychologically and developmentally.

The Double Standard in America
Yes, believe it or not, there are double standards in America. We live with it everyday, yet we do nothing about it. We have cops killing unarmed African Americans, which we turn a blind eye to. We then have children murdering other children in school hallways. We get in an uproar then, but when it comes time to do something, we cling to our firearms for fear that some government official is going to walk in our house and take them out of our hands. When a person of Middle Eastern descent does something wrong, we automatically claim terrorism. When a white male does it, it's the cry of a troubled young man. Where do we find the happy medium?

Should Teens Be Allowed to Buy a Firearm?
There has been some controversy lately about a young man who was denied a firearm sale from a chain retailer. He was approximately 20 years old, although the story changes as time goes on. He wanted to buy a Ruger .22 caliber rifle, and denied. He is now suing the retailer for age discrimination.

Nazis and White Supremacists in the Mainstream
Since Donald Trump has been elected president, the hate groups seem to come out of the woodwork. The Klu Klux Klan and the neo-Nazis have been showing up to what should be peaceful rallies and causing harm and agitating crowds. They have been actively recruiting online, although a lot of them have went on the dark web, in order to remain hidden.

Confederate Flags, Kneeling, and the USA: Part 2
One of the examples I can give is the Zoot Suit Riots in 1943. In the 1930s the US deported between 500,000 and two million people, including up to 1.2 million legal people of Mexican descent (illegally, I might add) so that they could ease the strain on the economy at the time. Many Latinos and Mexicans resided in historic areas. More recent immigrants joined them as they were segregated to part of the town which was the worst from housing to financially. In L.A., the newspapers ran articles using derogatory terms to describe the Hispanic and Latino communities, and urged that the teens were rampant troublemakers. Sound Familiar? This caused severe discord between the Caucasians and the minorities such as Mexicans and Latinos.

Confederate Flags, Kneeling, and the USA: Part 1
There seems to be a lot of controversy in the world today. We have protests on both sides, civil unrest, innocent people being murdered, and we don’t have a clue how to stop it. It is, in my opinion, a socio-economic and equality issue. “If we can keep the people poor and enslaved, they can’t rise up.”

Parenting
My son turned five months old as of today. He is a happy, healthy, and alert infant. We are truly blessed and are amazed at how much he has grown, especially considering that he was born six weeks early. People say that raising a child is the hardest yet most rewarding thing you will ever do, and I completely understand that statement. The baby books can only prepare you for so much. 99% of the time is great. Watching TV with him, feeding him while he strokes my beard and stares up at me. I can only hope that I always do right by him, and set a good example for him.

Buying into an Agenda
Mr. Marco Rubio, you were asked by a seventeen year old mass shooting survivor if you would accept any money from the NRA after this. The only answer you could give is that “people buy into my agenda.” You completely deflected the question, which tells me your answer is no. You and your politician friends are the lowest life form on earth. You are beneath scum. Basically, what you told this young man is that the bastards at the NRA support you, they line your pockets with cash, and you continue to do their bidding. This is not an acceptable answer.

Hunter S. Thompson
He was the father of what is known as gonzo journalism. His raw, seething reports of what he witnessed and experienced left nothing to the imagination. He made you feel as if you were there with him. He sadly committed suicide on February 20, 2005. This world was much stranger than anything he could have wrote, and finally he caved in under the pressure of his own genius.

Looking at You Florida
No words can explain my seething anger at this moment. I have lost all faith in the slimy snakes who drivel feces from their mouth while pretending to care about those in their state and communities. There were two bills, TWO BILLS that would have banned assault rifles in Florida.

Be the Person Mr. Rogers Believed You Could Be
Mr. Rogers was a staple of my childhood, along with the likes of Bob Ross and Sesame Street. He was always calm, comforting, and loving of everyone who watched his show. We were all his neighbors. I still watch his show whenever I catch it. He taught us to love ourselves, as well as each other.
