I have been working for over the last 2 years at creating diverse surfing content on Instagram through interviewing people in the surfing world. I have interviewed 174 people from 32 countries.
Do you sincerely and deeply love yourself? I always thought that being too much into yourself is a bad thing. Turns out that in many ways, the opposite is true. Learning self care and love has been a mind blowing experience for me because I’m 27 and I’m learning that I truly haven’t taken care of myself. Even though in a lot of ways I believe that I have taken care of myself, I really have not.
I desire to to help people and I want everyone to learn the unparalleled value and importance of self care and prioritizing your own mental health. I’ve had to suffer through the first 27 years of my life and I want to share the positive changes and help that I have found as I try to improve and save my life.
Happiness. It is what all of us want and need so very badly but way too often when we look around us at the people we see and know; so many are not happy. This year has really been crushing for so many people who are experiencing the worse stress of their lives. How can we use this pandemic to help us mentally and internally?
I want to help and provide value to ones who suffer from mental and neurological disorders like myself. It is among the most challenging things that a human has to fight to combat and overcome each day. I hope my story can help educate, comfort, or heal in anyway whoever may read this.
What inspires you? What brings you so much excitement and pure joy and yet calms your mind and heart completely at the same time? For me, it is the ocean and the beautiful sport of surfing! In January 2019, I decided that I would interview as many surfers and surf photographers from around the world as possible to learn from them and gain their diverse perspectives.
