Be The Guy Who Makes The Plans
The reason doesn’t matter. Thin, inane, made up, that’s not the point. Getting dudes together for a night, a weekend of beer, movie quotes, brobonding. That’s the point, the goal, should be yours, anyway. You can name it what you will. Anniversary Of The Crash Weekend. Mega Men’s Night. Bachelor Party Deus. It’s Been Too Long Hour. No matter how you get them there, the ends justify the means, a few times over. And while people aren’t lazy, per se, they are caught up. This means your job as the ringleader is a pain. You will harangue and repeat, even to your best of friends. You will send at least five emails with proposed dates and beg people to Venmo you back for all the cash you laid out buying the weed, mushrooms, alcohol, burgers, salad stuff, right?

Orwell's 1984 Was Optimistic
When George Orwell wrote his most famous, and last, novel, 1984, it was against a backdrop of rising fascist totalitarianism in Europe. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Franco, all turned their respective democratic nations into oppressive regimes. While Hitler sought war with Europe, Stalin declared war on his own people, purging the Soviet Union of anyone he feared might usurp him – they numbered in the millions. It was after participating in the Spanish Civil War, against Franco’s Nationalists, that Orwell’s writing direction turned towards one of speaking out against totalitarianism and promoting democratic socialism.

Marijuana Moments Throughout History
Religion and history are full of miraculous stories and larger than life characters. From Jesus to Christopher Columbus, the burning bush to the Garden of Eden, we are taught that these people and stories are the righteous among us- they are our examples and our best case scenarios. But what they also share, is a rich history of marijuana moments. That’s right. Recent science, biblical scholarship, and historical evidence prove time and again that many of our favorite biblical stories and historical characters grew and smoked marijuana. It was included in holy rituals and everyday necessities that you definitely didn’t learn about in history class.

Evolution of Cannabis Culture
Cannabis is the most publicized vegetable in history. From Madison Avenue ad agencies to the swift and deft legalization movement, marijuana is on everyone’s mind in one way or another. It also grows in virtually every country and climate. It literally grows on the streets of North Korea. The plants are quite graceful to see as well, sinuously waving on their flexible stalks with long serrated leaves, much like bamboo. Perhaps such a sight inspired the underground interpretation of Bob Dylan's phrase "The answer, my friends, is blowin' in the wind, the answer is blowin' in the wind".
