Four Ingredient Protein Pancakes
These protein pancakes are fluffy, vegan-friendly, and definitely a staple recipe to have handy and so great as a snack a few hours before a workout or shortly after one. These pancakes, however, are not low in carbs, but carbohydrates really are one of the body’s preferred sources of energy so it’s highly beneficial to eat the majority of your carbs around the most active part of your day to make the most of them.

Raw Vegan Snickers Slice
One of the most important things for me after going Vegan was to ensure I wasn't missing out on anything. Snickers were absolutely one of those things, so of course, I had to find a way to make a dairy-free version. I chose the most natural ingredients I could find to mimic the flavours of a Snickers bar, and they unintentionally turned out gluten-free, so it just keeps getting better!

Vegan Choc Protein Truffles
I absolutely love making protein balls (otherwise known as bliss balls), but I have to say, these are next level. They are so 'next level' I needed to find another word to describe them as they are rich in flavour, but not too sweet, they packed full of protein and nutrition, but taste so decadent. The closest food I could think of to best describe them were... truffles. Chocolate, Vegan, Raw, Protein Truffles.

Why is Celery so hot right now?
Okay, maybe hot isn't the best way to describe it, it's usually pretty cold BUT Celery, and especially Celery juice, are becoming more and more popular in online health and nutrition communities. This plant has been very underrated, and I'm so happy to see it now getting the praise it deserves. You may have heard of the Medical Medium, you may have also heard of his Celery juice cleanse, you may have heard of neither, that's cool, I'm here to share with you why you need to know more about this magical herbaceous plant.

Is soy bad for you?
Soy has been a point of concern for many people, especially those transitioning to a vegan/plant-based diet. Men seem to be worried about feminising effects such as "man boobs", and women's concerns mostly lay in the danger of excess estrogen within the body.

Is stress making us fat?
To put it simply, persistent stress from anxiety makes it more likely for people to form unhealthy daily habits, which can then have a direct effect on your body’s hormonal balance. This, in turn, can completely slow your metabolism, thus - weight gain!

Top Misconceptions About Plant-Based Diets
Vegan diets lack protein I personally love this one, because according to many studies, plant-based diets tend to contain more protein on average than that of an omnivore. (1) Plants contain all essential amino acids (the building blocks of protein) to help you reach the required protein levels for an adult, however, the most protein dense plants tend to be nuts and legumes.

Is Bamboo the sustainable material of the future?
Bamboo is growing in more ways than one! I'm not sure about you, but I feel like I'm seeing bamboo in almost every shop I go into (And trust me, I go to the shops a fair bit). It seems that this unique plant isn't just useful as a building material or food for humans (and pandas!) - it has an array of applications and is growing at an exponential rate (quite literally - I'll touch on this later!), as one of the most common materials in the eco-sustainability movement we are currently experiencing across the planet.

Avoiding deficiencies on a Plant-Based diet
Veganism is on the rise like never before, and this leaves the door wide open for every man and his dog to promote not just their idea of the optimum diet, but medical opinions as well. Please take everything you read in blogs or social media with a grain of salt, yes - my material included, although I do maintain that I share only personal experiences or peer-reviewed/medical research, and I do so to spark discussion or further research by the reader.

Food & Mental Health
Disclaimer: Diet is not a fix all for feeling sad, and sadness or depression can be an appropriate response to things that do happen in our daily lives. This piece is aimed towards the ongoing chemical imbalance which results in depression and how diet may help.
