During the fifty fourth Super Bowl this year in 2020, the Half-Time show was a performance put on by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez. The show caused quite the controversy in the media. While everybody is entitled to their opinion, some things are simply facts. Facts and humanity are what we are here to discuss today.
When I entered nursing school, I was filled with excitement and hope. My plan was to get a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and work in a trauma unit. I wanted to be a hero, a life saver, a miracle worker for people in a terrible position, or at least that's what I thought. What I failed to realize is three important lessons which I was about to be taught after I dropped out of nursing school. These lessons aren’t limited to my specific majors and situations though, so I hope anyone reading this experiencing something similar can take something from this and make light of their situation.
Having a baby is usually an exciting and joy filled time for women, but some women don’t get to experience the common euphoria; instead they get postpartum depression. Postpartum depression is depression experienced by new mothers after having their baby. It can strike immediately, or all of a sudden attack months or even years later.

Endometriosis is a medical condition. It’s a disorder that causes tissue which normally grows inside the uterus to grow outside the uterus; most commonly endometriosis causes the tissue to grow on the ovaries, Fallopian tubes, and intestines. While there are hormone therapies and surgeries available for treatment, there is no cure. Treatment can also be little to no effective.
Animals all over the world are being abused and tortured through animal testing of cosmetic products. Many places like the United States require new ingredients to be tested on animals before being released to the public, and China requires all makeup sold in the country to be tested on animals. But this behavior is not acceptable. There are thousands of already approved ingredients for companies to choose from for places like the United States, and if all makeup companies refuse to sell in China, they too could wake up to the reality of their cruel laws and save thousands of animals lives.
