Too Much Empathy is Bad for You!
If you keep giving more than you are getting, you are going to run out. What do we tell our parents when they compare us to other people? We are not them. I find it appropriate that we tell ourselves the same thing when we go overboard with doing onto others as we wish them to do unto us. This is especially true for empathetic people who will do all they can for anyone who needs help but will rather suffer than ask for help when they need it. Christianity may make you think you could never spend too much time helping others but trust me, prioritizing other people over yourself eventually burns you out.

Depression, Porn and Maturbation
Before we begin, I’d like to say a few things. This article is not one of those articles that tries destigmatize porn and masturbation by espousing their good effects. In fact, this article acknowledges that porn and masturbation can become addictions that prevent you from living a normal healthy life. That said, there isn’t a more acceptable time for turning to porn than when you’re so deep in depression that all you can think of is killing yourself.

Why I'm Starting this Blog
Principles are how we know that we have not been made by circumstance; that we are who we are by choice. After writing and deleting too many introductions for this article, I’m simply going to be straightforward. I am finally recovering from years of depression. Since depression almost killed me (or rather made me want to kill myself), I decided blog about it; in fact, starting this blog was one of the things I decided, during my depression, to do if I managed to survive it. This article will briefly cover my depression and how my purpose for this blog has evolved over time. So, how did I become depressed?
