What Is Nutrition?
Let’s start with defining nutrition. Nutrition is the process of eating and converting foods to keep our bodies healthy and in top performance mode. Our nutrition directly affects our structural and bodily compounds, such as the health of the hair, skin and nails, as well as the growth and maintenance of muscles, repair of bodily tissues and physical performance.

Hawaiian Style Shrimp
Hawaiian Style Shrimp ! A Salty and Sweet Delight Getting bored with the same old food combinations prompted me to create this recipe. It is a combination of sweet and salty, with a hint of cinnamon. Sounds strange, but it is delicious. It's light, yet filling. It packs 32.6 grams of protein with only 5.3 grams of fat. Think being on the sunny beach of Hawaii enjoying the luau. At first my family was skeptical upon seeing it on their plates, never having this combination of food items put together in such a way. Just like the “Mikey” commercial for Life cereal (a long time ago); Wow… I just “dated” myself; anyway, my three twenty somethings stared at their plates, then stared at one another. They had my daughter try it first, as she is the youngest, just like Mikey. She loved it! Then of course her brothers followed suit sensing there was no real hidden danger in the feast set before them.

Size Matters!
Our bodies need proper nutrition to operate in a peak state. By proper nutrition I mean nutritionally dense foods, such as organic whole foods, not take out, fast foods and processed foods. With that said, most fitness/health minded folks think of food in terms of macro-nutrients (protein, carbohydrate and fat).
