Warwick University's Ranking, Within the Guardian's University League Table, Falls by One Place

Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov Come to Warwick University!
On Saturday, November 24, Warwick University's Poker Society (WSP) will hold a 24 hour charity event. Both donations and the money placed into each poker game will be presented to "Raising for Effective Giving" (REG). This charitable organisation aims to create "a world where all people use evidence and rationality to have the biggest impact with their philanthropy," in which the group attempts to "empower people to make better giving choices by promoting the idea of effective giving, providing donation advice to individuals and organizations, and supporting fundraising campaigns and events."

Can God's Music Rock as Much as the Devil's?
When you think of Rock & Roll, Psychedelia, and the Hippy movement of the 1960s, Christianity is a term that one would be unlikely to associate. Although a multitude of faiths were adopted by artists during this period, from George Harrison's devotion to the Hare Krishna's & Paramahansa Yogananda, Cat (Yusuf Islam) Stevens' conversion to Islam, or the Paganistic undertones of Pentangle, Christianity's influence on music is largely unconsidered. Despite acts such as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and Don McLean being prominent men of the Christian faith during this time, their religious leanings have become rather overshadowed by their own celebrity.

My Interview with Warwick University’s Venice Biennale Fellow!
Gregory Segal: What is the Venice Biennale? Victoria Pap: A Biennale can be defined as an exhibition that occurs every two years. The Venice Biennale is the oldest international exhibition in the world, starting in 1895. Today the Venice Biennale happens every year, alternating between Art and Architecture exhibitions. The Architecture Biennale uses, deconstructs, and builds spaces within the Biennale to exhibit the art of architecture, whereas the Art Biennale predominantly just uses spaces within the exhibition to display a variety of artworks.
