Why Black People Support Palestine
People in the U.S. have taken to the streets to express their support for pro-Palestinian causes. This includes advocating against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and the U.S.-Israel alliance. The 11-day conflict between Israel and Hamas last month, the worst in the region since 2014, resulted in at least 256 deaths in Gaza, according to the United Nations, and 13 deaths in Israel, as reported by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Tiffany Cross Crossed Up
I saw this video on MSNBC that features Tiffany Cross, a daily show on the network, calling black United States Senator Tim Scott a sell-out on national TV. Cross went on a tirade after Scott stated that America isn’t inherently racist. Although this is a debatable topic, it is not one that MSNBC should be litigating in any capacity.

I, like many Americans, was preparing to watch the 2016 Democrat Primary Debate between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. This debate was being aired on TV One, a network that features content primarily for an African American audience. This debate was of particular consequence for the intended black audience, as it represented the first Democratic debate on the heels of President Obama's term expiration.
