For Claudine
Mrs Mulberry was the neighbour that nobody liked. She was overbearing and obtrusive but nobody could do anything about it. She had lived in the building longer than everybody else and made sure that everybody knew about it. On her first weekend in her new apartment, Charlotte Brigham was enjoying her morning read on her balcony. It was a warm Sunday morning in May when she felt sprinkles of water dropping down on her. Looking up, she found Mrs Mulberry watering her trailing begonias, utterly oblivious to her newest neighbour inches beneath her. Charlotte couldn’t help but laugh.

Dearest Darling,
It's true. You're infectious. The fact that you don't see that is what I love most about you. You always do so much for others without having an agenda. That's quite a rare thing to have. Especially in London. You're consistent and you're always there. From day one.

06.02.20 13:09PM Berlin
February was a peculiar month, one that was very much divided. The first half was care-free and exciting. Fueled by ambition and a will to excel. For you see, I had moved to Berlin only two weeks prior. I was at the start of an adventure; one that would soar my career to heights I had never reached before. I was fresh out of university and had landed my first professional job as a singer on a cruise ship. I had 'made it'. It felt good. The job sat in my planner for 3 months and the time had finally arrived for me to start this adventure and move to Berlin for the 2-month rehearsal process.

Better Days...
Do you ever feel like the world has turned completely upside down? Lockdown has truly and utterly felt like this. Losing an overseas performing contract and having to travel back to the UK to unemployment wasn't exactly the idea I had in mind for 2020, however it has allowed me some time to recentre myself and focus on what is truly important in life.

Italy and dolce far niente...
Life in lockdown has a way of allowing your mind to roam free in a space that is different to any you've ever known. It's a space of imagination but this time it has an edge. Never before have we felt this sense of longing for everything and yet nothing, both at the same time.

Resilience and why women are so great at it
At some point in our lives we have all been faced with tricky situations that require a hard decision or choice to be made. You have to act fast otherwise you risk the chance that everything could fall apart. This is where we have to use our whole being or as much of it as we can to get through it and our resilience is a key component to the makeup of our being.

We Must Stand Together
Everywhere I look I am reminded of the barbaric event that happened yesterday in Manchester. For those who aren’t up to speed, 22 people attending Ariana Grande’s concert in the Manchester Arena were killed by a fatal suicide bomb attack containing shrapnel injuring at least 59 others towards the end of the concert last night. Fans heard a loud explosion and rushed to safety out of the arena.
