I am a 27 year old writer from NYC who has grown up in the theatre world. I have always loved writing and helping people out. Sometimes it's just enough to know you're not alone. I hope you enjoy what I have to say.
Dear Birth Mother
To My Birth Mother, I was first told I was adopted when I was 5 years old. My best friend at the time learned that I was adopted and proceeded to tell me "Your parents aren't your real parents. Your real parents didn't want you and gave you up." I cried and cried that day. I ran away to the playground (a block away from my house, but for a five year old, that's a whole other country) and sat on the swings for hours until my parents, who had been 20 steps behind me the whole time, told me it was time to go home. I remember thinking to myself that where I had grown up wasn't my home. That I didn't have a home. I don't remember much from my childhood, but that I remember clear as day.
Feel Your Feelings

5 Binge-Worthy Shows that Got Cancelled
This show has been cancelled. So many of us have seen these words when we check to see if our favorite shows got renewed. Here's a list of wonderful shows that ended, in my opinion, far too soon.
Take a Break
We all have a breaking point; whether we are burnt out from work, family is getting to us, friendships get rough, or the world just begins to feel like it's closing in on us.
Worry: My Full-Time Job
Be it about a test, a job interview, or going to a party where you know absolutely no one, we all experience that dark cloud that is Worry.
Your Favorite Musical Is What?
When I heard that SpongeBob the Musical was coming to Broadway, I, like the majority of the world, asked myself one question: "Are we completely out of ideas for Broadway shows?" and I swore to myself that, unless I got a free ticket, I would never go to see it.
