It Looms
It was always there. Without fail. It never seemed to leave. I had trouble going to sleep at night. Whether it be stress from my mundane life, or just because I wanted to stay on my device for longer than normal, it took time, still does sometimes. When the sleep does come, I am greeted to the most wonderful dreams imaginable, and the most devastating nightmares possible . I glide through the open skies, without a care in the world, I am sometimes greeted with familiar faces from my past, the landscape can be whimsical from top to bottom, it could be a mixture of all the places around the world, or just places I am familiar with. I have seen demons take me to a rusted overgrown deserted town just to torture me. The nightmares back then got to me, but now they serve as nice wee entertainment and a thrill mostly, once I wake. But back then, I didn't look up. Even if I were to fly into the clouds, I would close my eyes. I would distract myself in the dream, and let it play out. But it was always there. The object in the sky. Nightmares be damned. It terrified me, still does sometimes.

The Dragon Was Named Red
Chapter 1: The Dragon and the Child The world was no stranger to misfortune. Dark creatures of the night, powerful storms daring to destroy its majesty, and filled to the brim with magic and life. Such a place needed guardians to protect it, and what better beings than the most powerful magical creatures of them all. The Dragons. For centuries, these terrifying magical beasts protected these vast magical lands from all who would do it harm, and made sure to punish all who would disturb the peace, whether it be the world’s, or the dragon’s own.

Don't touch your face while you sleep!

I thought maybe if I changed my diet for the better, maybe if I drank more water before going to bed, something would help. But no, it didn't help. So instead, another thought occured. "Hey! Why not test this theory out fully?" So, I plucked up the courage in order to see for myself. I tried this two or three different times on purpose, and I have to say this. Don't touch your face while sleeping!

The Stories I Must Write
What is this? I have no business accepting this. I'm just an English major student, and not a very successful one in the grand scheme of things. Doesn't the term, "Cs make degrees" mean anything to anyone? Was there some sort of competition? A lottery? Did students just get selected randomly? Not that I'm complaining or anything. I'm just stating the facts here. Student loans need to be paid and I need the cash. The letter that came with the package:
