After Class
Everything was fine. Or at least that's what she told herself. Her job as a teacher, though exhausting, was fulfilling enough to stick with it. Plus, it helped take her mind off the rest of her life. She wished her husband would work as hard on their relationship as he did at his job. To be fair to him, he didn't know any better. He thought that making good money was the best way to be a man. Did the flame between them burn as bright as it used to? Of course not, but that's to be expected. They were good parents. They put their focus on their kids, their jobs, and their home. If there was any time or energy left over, it would surely be used on a little self-care... but there never was.
