Darren checked his hairline in the rearview mirror. Becky pretended not to notice. The beach was getting closer. They were silent for a good fifteen minutes. Outside the windows, Becky saw a forest. If the car would slow down, she would probably be able to identify tree species. She used to be good about that sort of thing.
