The skills you need to survive AI
Artificial intelligence is here, and it’s understandable that many people are fearful for their jobs. AI has the potential to automate tasks and processes traditionally performed by humans, leading to concerns about job displacement, particularly in industries where AI can efficiently handle repetitive or routine tasks. While the integration of AI may lead to some job replacement, it’s important to note that humans who embrace AI and utilize it as a tool will be the ones securing their positions. The efficiency of using AI can create a future job shortage, emphasizing the importance of updating skills to remain competitive in the job market. Here’s a list of skills that can help secure your future in the evolving AI-driven workplace.

Don't believe everything you see thanks to… AI
Imagine waking up to a barrage of messages and missed calls from worried friends and family who saw a video of you doing something completely out of character. But you're sure you've never done anything like that! It turns out that the video is a deep fake, an AI-generated video created by someone you had a minor disagreement with. Once a video is on the internet, it's almost impossible to remove, and even though the video is fake, it can still ruin your reputation. Unfortunately, this is the future that many people may face, as AI deep fakes and generative technology are becoming increasingly realistic and indistinguishable from real images and videos. This trend will lead to a surge of misinformation in the form of fake images, videos, and wrongly generated content.

Take Zoom Meetings like a Professional Streamer
Unless you are a media personality or avid streamer then odds are your video presence sucks. In today's digital age, video calls have become an integral part of professional communication. Whether you're meeting with clients or colleagues, it's essential to present yourself in a way that conveys competence and confidence. Since the social lockdown of COVID-19, it has become commonplace to take meetings on platforms like Zoom, Google Hangouts, and Skype. For most, this sudden shift to telepresence required them to scramble to get the proper tools to work over video. Entire online companies reformed to help many businesses combat this visual shift.

Your next website might be a virtual world.
Few people today remember a time when commercial content was not allowed on the internet. However, Congress passed a set of regulations that allowed companies to market their businesses on the World Wide Web. Nowadays, it’s essential for a business to have an online presence, whether it’s on Google, Yelp, or the digital Yellow Pages.

Replacing Mascots With Virtual Influencers
It’s hard to imagine some brands without their iconic mascots. For example, Geico has Martin the Gecko, Frosted Flakes has Tony the Tiger, and Microsoft Office had Clippy the Paperclip. These virtual characters are designed to help sell experiences related to the purchase of goods and services, and they have become an essential part of advertising, marketing, and community engagement. The use of these intellectual property (IP) characters is a long-standing tradition in the marketing space. They have appeared in everything from print ads to television commercials, and they have even starred in their own video games. For instance, KFC’s romance simulator “I Love You, Colonel Sanders” was a unique marketing product that challenged brands to think outside the box. Overall, mascots have proven to be effective tools in building brand awareness, customer loyalty, and engagement. By creating a memorable character, a brand can establish a connection with consumers that goes beyond the product or service itself. It’s no wonder that many companies continue to use mascots as part of their marketing strategies.

Defining the Metaverse…
If you didn’t work in the tech industry prior to 2021, the term “Metaverse” might have been unfamiliar to you. But when social media giant Facebook changed its name to “Meta,” there was suddenly a virtual gold rush for NFTs and virtual land. News outlets and blogs covered Mark Zuckerberg’s “metaverse”, though they often misunderstood the term. Zuckerberg was talking about his vision of the Metaverse when changing the company’s name and not a singular virtual world, while at the same time launching Meta’s virtual world platform Horizons. This created a lot of confusion among news outlets and those racing to become knowledgeable on the subject matter to position themselves as subject matter experts. The Metaverse is not just a virtual world; it’s a by-product of the third generation of the internet, an entire connection of platforms at the internet level with the interoperability of digital assets.

All Artists Should Understand AI Art
The topic of AI-generated art is generating a lot of discussion in the artist community on websites like ArtStation and DeviantART. Many artists are questioning the legitimacy of the art generated by platforms such as Lexica, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, and expressing concerns about the impact it could have on their own work. Some of these concerns include the possibility of AI-generated art taking away job opportunities for artists, as well as concerns about intellectual property and ownership of the art produced by these systems. These discussions highlight the importance of considering the ethical and moral implications of using AI-generated art and ensuring that artists are protected in this changing landscape.

Brands should be making 360 videos - Here is my process
360-degree videos are a hugely underrated niche on YouTube, to the point that most users of the social media platform are unaware that the functionality even exists. There are many reasons for making 360 videos part of your brand or marketing. These videos, because the dimensions are usually over 4k, get a boost in the algorithm and if watched in a VR headset will have up to a 30% higher retention rate which is a number companies shouldn't ignore. My channel, Studio Capon, has 30+ thousand subscribers with millions of views, and 360-degree animated content is what we specialize in.

How To Start A Podcast Tour For Your Brand
At the beginning of 2020, my plans for the year were vastly different from how things ultimately turned out. Originally, I had intended to embark on an in-person tour spanning ten countries, beginning with a stop at CES 2020. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I was unable to carry out this tour beyond the initial CES appearance. With the need to stay productive despite the change of plans, I began researching digital alternatives to in-person touring, ultimately settling on podcasting as my medium of choice. Using my prior experience as a public speaker and YouTuber, I developed a straightforward plan for how to effectively tour as a podcast guest. This is also helpful if you are starting a new company or brand and want to get the word out about it.

Going viral with AI on Instagram
Recently my business partner Topher Welsh and I were able to take his Instagram account from 1k to 125k in only 8 weeks flat. When I tell my friends who are in the influencers what we did they almost can’t believe it. Some of them have almost 100k in followers after 4 years of continued growth. What we did was part luck and part skill with 20 years of experience each behind it. We knew there were some simple methods that could be used to get our content to take off. Marvel babies were born…. Expanding into other pop culture icons.
