Aspirations to Breathe...
As we approach the start of a new year, many of us are thinking about the goals we want to set for ourselves. Instead of setting lofty and potentially overwhelming resolutions, I encourage everyone to consider setting gentle goals for the new year.

I had just finished my shift at the restaurant, and it was 12.00am in morning. I unlocked my car and got in, and as I drove, I fell into my pattern of digesting and thinking about my day, week, which all blended into each other.

"Can't repeat the past? Why, of course, you can…." The Great Gatsby
Most of us have seen The Great Gatsby, the movie starting Tobey Maguire as the Midwest native Nick Carraway who arrives in New York in 1922 in hot pursuit of the American dream. Nick, a would-be writer, moves next-door to millionaire Jay Gatsby, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and becomes drawn into the roaring twenties' captivating world. Wealthy humans flock to fabulous parties, which sets the scene for Nick's writing of impossible love, dreams, and tragedy. If you have seen this movie, you have witnessed the beautiful fashion adorned by both women and men.

The ship on the horizon.
Paris is undisputedly one of the most beautiful cities globally, the capital of France, and art and fashion, everything I love in one place. I love everything about it; I also love, thrift and second stores. I live for them: the things you find, brand names, beautiful pieces, and statement items. I am like Emily in Paris on a budget. I always try to look amazing but not break the budget, because I also like traveling to Paris once a year, so I need to be clever with my money, but still look good.

Holding out for a Hero
Ah, Love. That word that had often haunted me. Depending on who you ask in my circle, I have found many answers as to what Love is. Kaitlin would tell you, it's a many-splendor thing, a euphoric state where you live happily ever after. Jess would say to you it's all you need. Abi would tell you that, Love can often be hard to express or put into words, but it is a precious beautiful thing. Maddie would say to you that sometimes it's even a battlefield you enter because you are fighting for; you're a knight in shining armor.

Fifty shades of purple………the dark side of Epilepsy.
I can hear you asking after reading the title asking Why purple. Well, purple is the color set aside for Purple day, which is celebrated on the 26th March, as a global initiative dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness. Seeing as we a fast-approaching 26th March I got excited to see this challenge about Uncommon knowledge, however I missed the boat. The competition closed before I could submit this. I have just, been to busy to be able to get my story in; but I thought I might just share anyway, despite missing the competition.
